If a former member of the government had gone on the public record as saying that men are immediately referred to as "the perpetrator", and she was wrong, her many political enemies would have pounced on her, decrying her wrongness and no doubt accusing her of scare-mongering. In fact we hear nothing from her political enemies simply because she speaks the truth; she knows it, the police now it.... we all know it. Lots of shots and information about the facilities at Enewetak Atoll. Various kinds of measurements were taken as the tests took place, because - as the narrator says - "the more the services know about the effects of atomic weapons, the better able they will be to use them if necessary." Scary. Various items were placed at varying distances from the "Zero Point": tanks, aircraft, buildings etc. Pilot-less aircraft were also used.Oh well, at least you can enjoy the colours and imperfections of old cine film.
