It has the same vibes as the Area Zero theme, so I made a little mash-up kind of remix. It's synthwave-y with some rock guitars, has some speed changes which kinda became my thing, and there's the cool Ichinose slap bass from the Paradox battle theme. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - Electric Battle! Gym Leader Elesa (Remake | Fanmade Theme) Raushna 2022-10-14 | Heyo, long time no see! Was a bit sick the last weeks so I didn't make much music, but I'm back now. :) And after a whole month of not posting I figured I couldn't upload just anything, so here's a brand-new remix of my Elesa battle theme (which is still my most popular song to this day). Y'all actually deserved this one for the Elesa remix event / The Elesa EP last year, but at that time I kinda felt I couldn't add much new to the song (although the mix and arrangement of the original weren't really up to my quality standards even then), so I only made that short little loop you can hear at the beginning of the remix video. I ventured much more into the edm genre recently though, so this week I finally felt up to the challenge of properly remaking the song. Except for the vocal loop I used almost no assets from the original, so I think it sounds as fresh and new as possible. All sounds were directly produced and recorded from the PSR, there's absolutely no vst instruments or external effects, except for some limiting on the master to make it louder. Hope you enjoy it, and let me know if you would like to hear more in this style.For those interested in the specs of the synth: the fm sound chip is very similar to those used in the Sega Genesis and various 80s home PCs and Arcade machines, so it instantly gives you vibes of games from that era, which is amazing. There's something about gear like this that's can't be entirely replicated through vst clones or sampling (sound fonts) in my opinion, especially because fm synthesis is so much more intuitive in this form. TrainerThis was my first battle theme ever! It's heavily inspired by Sun & Moon's trainer theme, as you can probably hear. I think I even remade it in ~2018, but never shared it because standard trainer themes tend to not interest most people, or something like that, lol.5:00 Battle! Gym LeaderNot the worst song per se, but it definitely lacks the intensity of an actual gym leader theme. For a very early mini-boss of some kind, it's probably quite fitting though, it has those "first challenge" vibes to me.7:18 Battle! Mewtwo / MewThis one is probably the most cohesive sounding with being pretty much all synthetic. I wonder why I decided to use that drum kit for every single battle theme I made back then, this one might be the only one where it's actually fitting.10:16 Battle! New battle theme.I've kinda had a block with battle music for the past year and was not really in a mood to write that stuff, but you just gotta pull through I guess. S̶o̶m̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶t̶a̶k̶e̶s̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶a̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶s̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶w̶a̶i̶f̶u̶.̶I've listened to Falcom music some more again recently, so the arrangement is kinda inspired by that, especially the violin. And there's some Team Galactic references in it too! I could have went the full orchestral route (and I actually planned to) since that is likely the style the ingame music of Legends will have, but we all know that's not what you guys are here for, is it?
