ManOfCole 2021-09-26 | Mask of Bakris is even MORE insane in PvP and it may soon take the throne as the best PvP Hunter exotic in the game. With Bungie hinting at an upcoming nerf to St0mp-EE5 in one of the recent TWAB updates, Dragon’s Shadow and Bakris may become 1A and 1B in terms of most used Hunter exotics of PvP. And, as of the beginning of Season 15, Bakris has now gotten even more insane. Nothing with the exotic, itself, has been changed, but the introduction of Stasis armor mods has made quite the impact in all facets of the game. But first, what defines a “weapon meta?” …… Many things came to mind when I was trying to answer this question for myself. Is it because of the gun's lethality? Is it because the guns are easy to obtain? Or is it because they just FEEL good….. What was INITIALLY going to be a video about which weapons are considered “the meta” quickly turned into a more investigative approach. I wanted to try and come up with the answer to WHY certain weapons become the meta. Because it doesn’t always boil down to one particular stat. And I’ll squash this bug right away…. It’s not because they have the fastest time to kill…

In Season of the splicer, 120s are clearly the meta, yet, they have the SLOWEST optimal TTK of any primary.

With both of these weapons being a 120 hand cannon and being in the energy weapon slot, it has finally given everyone the opportunity to diversify their loadouts. People can finally start using some of the often overlooked special weapons that are located in the kinetic slot. Eye of Sol, Astral Horizon, and even Chaperone are all very effective options to pair with these two new 120 goliaths. With that being said, there are still some discrepancies between the two and there may be times when one may provide more benefits in certain situations over the other.
