I primarily would use it for the ND filters, but it also comes with CineMist and Anamorphic Streaks type of filtration. Revolva ND Adapter vs Canon VND for RED Komodo Marcos Rocha 2022-10-04 | One of the missing features of the RED Komodo is built-in Internal NDs you get standard on other Cinema Cameras. The Kipper Tie Revolva ND tries to solve this issue by adding NDs before the lens. It almost makes the RED Komodo feel like it has built-in NDs. Not only that, it converts the RF mount to EF Mount. The build quality and color accuracy are amazing, but it comes at a price. I also compare it to the Canon VND drop-in filter adapter which is much cheaper. However, if you want to keep your Komodo to a small package while having a fast way to drop in different ND filters that will not introduce any color variance, the Revolva is the best option. This full-frame 50mm Anamorphic lens actually gives you a 28mm field of view, in the Anamorphic world, so it is perfect for indie filmmakers. Of course, you'll need a full-frame sensor camera to get the widest field of view. Keep in mind that if you are using a Super 35 or crop sensor camera, your field of view will be tighter. The lens is pretty robust and well built. As you'll see from the footage, it produces beautiful anamorphic images. I don’t often get to shoot anamorphic for the types of shoots I am involved in, so I was really happy when I can step away from spherical lenses and do something with more character.
