Yesterday, SpaceX and the Polaris Program announced their all-new EVA suit. In today's video, I discuss the amazing new features debuting on this suit.
The suit has a myriad of new features, that will enable EVAs. These new features include:
An "externally copper and indium tin oxide" coated visor with an "anti-fog treatment",
A heads-up display (displaying suit pressure and humidity, and EVA timer) and camera,
Spiral zippers allow the suit to be easily put on, and taken off,
Boots "constructed from the same thermal material used on Falcon's interstage", and the Dragon Capsule's trunk. These boots provide "thermal capability at both high and low temperatures in the vacuum of space"

IFT-3 Information from SpaceX:
For the second time, all 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy Booster started up successfully and completed a full-duration burn during ascent.
Starship executed its second successful hot-stage separation, powering down all but three of Super Heavy’s Raptor engines and successfully igniting the six-second stage Raptor engines before separating the vehicles.
Following separation, the Super Heavy booster successfully completed its flip manoeuvre and completed a full boostback burn to send it towards its splashdown point in the Gulf of Mexico.
Super Heavy successfully lit several engines for its first ever landing burn before the vehicle experienced a RUD (that’s SpaceX-speak for “rapid unscheduled disassembly”). The booster’s flight concluded at approximately 462 meters in altitude and just under seven minutes into the mission.
Starship's six second stage Raptor engines all started successfully and powered the vehicle to its expected orbit, becoming the first Starship to complete its full-duration ascent burn.
While coasting, Starship accomplished several of the flight test’s additional objectives, including the opening and closing of its payload door (aka the pez dispenser,) and initiating a propellant transfer demonstration. Starship did not attempt its planned on-orbit relight of a single Raptor engine due to vehicle roll rates during coast. Results from these demonstrations will come after postflight data review is complete.
Starship went on to experience its first ever entry from space, providing valuable data on heating and vehicle control during hypersonic reentry. Live views of entry were made possible by Starlink terminals operating on Starship.
The flight test’s conclusion came during entry, with the last telemetry signals received via Starlink from Starship at approximately 49 minutes into the mission.

In today's video, I unboxed the Space Prints GB SpaceX Starship Heat Tile Replicas.
Here is my full review: The tiles are of amazing quality, very sturdy, well-made and nicely packaged. The tile connecter on the other hand isn't the best. As shown in the video, the tiles didn't lie flat and it was very difficult to get the tiles to stay in the connecter. In the end, I ended up sticking the panels to my wall using just the sticky-backed holders that I bought separately, without the tile connecter. I recommend not using the connector and just sticking the tiles to your wall separately.

About ARE Space: ARE Space is an advanced technology company dedicated to space debris mitigation, satellite construction, and satellite defence. Our innovative solutions include Space Intercept Systems (SIS), such as the Reuser and Slayer, designed to remove debris and safeguard satellites. Our focus is on pioneering technologies for a cleaner and safer orbital environment. ARE Space actively contributes to space sustainability by targeting debris pieces less than 10cm. This focused approach addresses the most prevalent and challenging size range, ensuring our efforts have a substantial impact on reducing the overall space debris population and minimizing collision risks.
Hello everyone and welcome to Felix's Space Time! Today I got the opportunity to interview Eric Berger for the second time, about his new book, REENTRY!
Penguin Random House Book Description: From launchpad explosions to a pernicious cricket infestation to the harsh management style of Musk himself, the rise of SpaceX was beset with challenges and far from inevitable. Find out how a start-up that no one thought could get off the ground flew high enough to outpace their rivals . . . and where they’re going next.

Today I interviewed Nicole McElroy, an ISS Flight Director at NASA.
Her first notable space-related job was as a Launch Operations Intern at United Launch Alliance from June 2012 to August 2012. Then she moved on to a Landing Gear Structures Intern at Boeing from June 2013 to August 2013. Her final internship was as a Liquid Propulsion Engineering Intern at Virgin Galactic from May 2014 to August 2014.
Soon after she started as a Propulsion Engineer at Virgin Galactic from August 2015 to April 2017 in Long Beach California. After her time at Virgin Galactic, she moved to Virgin Orbit where she started as a Lead Stage Test Article Engineer for two years, then a Propulsion Operations Lead for just over a year, then a Manager of Rocket Operations for nine months, and then finally a Senior Manager of Launch Operations for just over a year.
She now works as a Flight Director at NASA.

Every day, starting December 1st and ending on Christmas Day (the 25th) I will be posting a space-related question here on my YouTube channel and over on my Twitter page. Quite a few of these questions will be about Christmas and space, but there will also be a few just about spaceflight in general.
Each question will be posted at 12:00 pm GMT and you will have 24 hours to complete unless you are a Patreon or Twitter subscriber. If you are, you will have 48 hours to answer each question.
Each question is posted on YouTube and Twitter with a link to a Google Form where you can enter your answer to the day's question. If you put your answer in either of the comments section, they will not be included. Patreon and Twitter Subscribers will need to DM me their answer on Patreon or on Twitter.
If you miss a question, that is completely fine. Just carry on answering the next day's question!
I wish every single one of you the best of luck, I can’t wait to read everyone's answers!Starship: Flight 002Felixs Space Time2023-11-20 | All video and thumbnail credit to @SpaceX!
Enjoy! 🚀The #StarShip25Launch Recap🚀 - A Family Live Steam replaying and analyzing the Starship Launch!Felixs Space Time2023-11-19 | After working with them at two festivals this summer and making a film of an interview with their founder Nick Corston, I am pleased to collaborate with STEAM Co. on this exciting event!
He spends his time visiting schools and communities sharing inspiring stories about creativity, and science and launching dynamite rockets
To inspire the kids to aim higher than high, powered by their creativity and community.
As well as Homer Hickam's Rocket Boys book story he also shares that of the boy who read and read three books a day and is now the richest man in the world - yes Elon Musk.
How, concerned about the environment, he helped start a solar panel company and invented electric cars, underground electric trains and now rockets.
Love him or hate him, Nick's quite inspired by him as he says he doesn't know him doesn't hate anyone, and doesn't do binary thinking.
At 19:00 GMT: 13:00 CT Saturday 18th November we will be live streaming a look back at the launch of Elon Musk's latest attempt to aim higher than high, to launch the world's biggest rocket #StarShip25 and fly it once around the world.
We will be virtually live streaming as if in a TV studio on #OurSeeMonster🏴☠️ - an art (not oil) rig made from cardboard, code and creativity he is building in the Texas desert, next to Starbase launch in Boca Chica
We're flying out there in #StarShip22🚀
Visit the web page below where you can sign up to be sent a link to join the show in Zoom and go live on-screen with your camera to ask questions to special guests.
This event is being run as a safe family and child-friendly live stream by STEAM Co. - but it is a public event and we can only accept limited responsibility for it and strongly suggest parents watch this moment in history with their children and supervise them while online.
We will need to see parents/guardians/adults in view before putting images of children under the age of 13 on-screen to ask questions.
As Einstein said 'Imagination can take us anywhere'
