In similar way to DSF, we chose random target on the game map for car to drive to and AI will choose the best roads for it. Not only that, it will also choose the fastest of many possible paths by computing avoidance of each civilian vehicles and simulating world around ahead of time.This is still work in progress version as it still lacks of local time avoidance and anti-stuck maneuvers but it is already proven it can drive it's best most of the times.

[OUTDATED] Driver 2 - Best graphics possible jellysoap 2019-09-02 | UPDATE: new project is up on github.com/OpenDriver2/REDRIVER2After leak of Spanish version symbols it's now possible to fix some issues regarding graphics in Driver 2In this video you'll find:- Fix for widescreen mode - now objects on left and right side of the screen are drawn properly- Twice further draw distance (rn it's glitchy and objects can pop out or cars may be forced to be low detail)- Car detail switching on distance has been disabled- PGXPOf course two last improvements seriously affecting emulation performance. The best way to improve on this is to use CPU Overclock at 200% and GTE OverclockEmulator used: RetroArch's BeetlePSX HWNOTE: this hack is very WIP and I'm still finding out how to overcome issues on drawn objects limit and make a hack for other versions of the game (UK PAL and US NTSC 1.0 and 1.1), codes will be provided shortly after implementing these hacks for them.

Driver (Euro Demo 43) - Buick GSX controllable (Partially) jellysoap 2014-03-31 | This is my latest research of Driver from Euro Demo 43, special for Driver Madness communityI decided to use demo control buffer, which found using IDA and pointed it to the initialized PAD buffer, giving a driveable vehicle, but fully freezing game/demo timers.Using IDA I'm found that controller is initializes, but game doesn't handles it at all, so you can't drive in proper way.Miami here is FULL, not like in the later demo, but THIS demo has glitches with textures in other parts of city.Also, there is problem with controls... Right now i'm unable to run this version of engine because many modules has changed during DrvSyn development, but it's not hard at all to restore that.Engine renderer using material system based on similar to the Source Engine's Material system concept, but it's way simplified. It can run various renderers from OpenGL to D3D10Physics is implemented using Bullet Physics Library, and DrvSyn uses only Bullet Collision Library while dynamics is implemented from scratch.Model formats, animations are also created from scratch and derives similar concepts of Source Engine, but it's waaay simplified too. Animations were using blending between sequences, pose controllers, IK and even can have half-ragdoll movement (like UE4 ragdolls do)Level editor is written using wxWidgets, and it can create brushes like Hammer or GTKRadiant and also can manipulate meshes, terrains, point entities, In a word it's an most advanced tool for this engine.Levels are separated by room brushes (volumes), and these rooms connected using area portal brushes, so it's kinda of tree structure.Level lighting is dynamic lights combined with static lightmaps that used as radiosity emulation (lights were placed manually) and rendering optimization. Lightmaps are baked using hardware rendering, so the calculations were not that time consuming even for many fuzzy lights
