This is an acoustic performance by Gary Rossington, Ed King and Johnny Van Zant on 106.5 KZ106. There is static for the first minute and half before it finally goes away. The band was in town to open their tour the next day with Drivin n Cryin and Bad Company as openers. I have included newspaper clippings that give more details throughout this video. My apartment in Huntsville, AL was out of range of the radio station so I went to a location high atop Monte Sano Mountain which could receive the signal clearly enough so I recorded it to a cassette tape. Then I waited 31 years to share it on YouTube! Also, the band did these acoustic radio performances which eventually led to the acoustic Endangered Species album being released the following year.
