Ezra Furman, from Chicago, Illinois, has released her seventh solo album Goodbye Small Head. She started as a singer and guitarist in 2006 with Ezra Furman and The Harpoons, with whom she recorded three albums. Of her new work she said that "it is an orchestral emo prog-rock record" and lyrically it is the most refined and exciting. Ezra is confirmed as one of the highest peaks of independent songwriting, enriching her own compositions with a string section and alternating rock with delicate and melancholy ballads. Goodbye Small Head was produced by Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Iron And Wine, Fruit Bats).
