Using a macro software like HIDMacro is possible to bind custom commands to the F13-F24 keyboard keys in Windows. Those keys are nonexistent (physically) on our keyboards, but their functions are registered in Windows so you can reroute custom commands to Blender. In this proof of concept, I will be moving one frame forward using such a command and a secondary USB Numpad.
There is one problem, though: The Numpad 1 key on the secondary keyboard is recognized as Numpad 1 key on the main keyboard.
Maybe an addon can solve the identification for external (additional keyboards) in Blender?
