Come along as we explore historic Easton, Pennsylvania on foot!
Today we’re taking a walking tour through downtown Easton, starting around Centre Square and learning about the city’s incredible history. We’ll see the Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Monument, talk about the public reading of the Declaration of Independence in Easton in 1776, check out some of the historic architecture, and make our way toward the waterfront.
Along the way, we’ll learn how Easton’s location at the meeting of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers helped shape the city and turn it into an important transportation and industrial center.
There’s a lot more history hiding around Easton than you might realize, so let’s take a walk and see what we can find!
We will also dive into some more modern vintage things that we can see.
