Stage 2 is where the awareness of dementia symptoms truly sets in. More effort is made to remember, with these memories being more long-form and a bit more distortion in clarity. Personal mood sours as feelings of despair, denial, loneliness and anger punctuate the mind. Tranquility begins to unravel and people close will take notice of this. While still seemingly far away at the moment, the inevitable decline inches closer.
