A little #Shorts for you all to show everything (or at least some of what) I can do in a corset, including cartwheels, singing professionally (whilst definitely breathing), and touching my toes!
This was a fun little video to put together, and hopefully, it supports the point that historical fashion and historical corsets probably aren't restrictive as the myths and narratives general society likes to propel. Obviously, this is all anecdotal and everyone's experience with the corset will be different, but here's mine!
Please note: It's because of my body and my ability (mainly a hypermobility condition) that makes it possible for me to put on and fasten my shoes in a corset. Not everyone is able to put on their shoes in a corset and that's completely okay! We're all different and that's a beautiful thing. My intention in sharing this part was to demonstrate my own personal experience.
