OceanEye is the EU’s new initiative to improve ocean observation and marine knowledge. With only 5% of the ocean explored and mapped, the EU aims to strengthen ocean monitoring, support maritime security, boost innovation and protect marine ecosystems. Through OceanEye, Europe aims to provide 35% of the global ocean observing system by 2035 and become a global leader in ocean intelligence.
