Overlanding BOTSWANA | Nxai Pans & the Tuli Wilderness | An Adventure you have to do | Ep2 4x4ventures 2023-04-14 | Overlanding BOTSWANA Wild encounters in the Nxai Pans National Park & the Tuli Wilderness Reserve. This is an Adventure you have to do.Botswana is adventure, for any overlanding enthusiast, and one place I find myself coming back to over and over again, is the Nxai Pans area, where we explore the South Camp area, and the spiritual place that is Baines Baobabs. Overlanding in Botswana, and adventure traveling in the month of February to the Nxai Pan area is HOT, and I can't emphasis enough, that, this area is the furnace of Botswana, on account of the white reflective ancient Makgadikgadi lake bed sands. But, ol Ed and I pack up and make this 18 day adventure one to remember. We visit, South Camp, Nxai Pans and make camp at campsite number 8, we make a stop at campsite number 2 at the infamous Baines Baobabs, and finally, we make it to the Mohave campsite in the Tuli Wilderness Reserve, Botswana's best kept secret. It's a place filled with mystery at every corner, an adventurer's paradise, and a wildlife haven. This is a destination that we continually find ourselves wanting to go back to. And in this episode, we make the excuse to off-road adventure travel this amazing place.Overlanding in Botswana and adventure traveling in the month of February to the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana, isn't alwyas advised when the rain is falling. But, ol Ed and I pack up and make this 18 day adventure one to remember. We visit, Woodlands Lodge and bush campsites, make a stop at Nata Bird Sanctuary just outside of Nata town, spend a night at Planet Baobab, and then, finally, we make it to the Moremi where we spend our first night at South gate, Maqwee campsites in the wilds of Botswana. Waking up the following day we make the drive through mud and water to Third bridge, in the NW of the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. This is a specail place to wild camp, and we are in our absolute element with widlife sightings and the bush at their best.What an offroad adventure expedition, and a big shout out to the ladies from the Xomae group for assisting us with campsite bookings both in the Moremi and the Nxai Pan National Parks. You are welcome around my fire anytime mate.In this the last episode to my Overlanding Botswana series, I look back and conclude that this was an over-landing celebration in being allowed to adventure travel through Botswana as the borders open up to South Africa. A trip I would advise anyone to make. Look at doing this one in the winter months, where water holes serve as gathering spots for wildlife.In this episode I adventure travel with Ed and Chris, and mate Mark. We travel from the North of Botswana, from Kasane to Elephant Sands, where we camp for one night and get a sighting at the waterhole that is sure to leave an impression on any visitor to this area. We continue the trip to the Makgadikgadi pans where we camp for 2 nights on Kubu Island. A serene moment for me and the gents and always a favorite of ours to come back and visit. This was an adventure where 4 South African YouTubers come together and enjoy a bucket list trip into the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Botswana. Botswana self drive guided with 4x4ventures: Stage2 4x4ventures 2019-05-23 | #4x4ventures continues the adventure and takes you into the more wild parts of #Botswana.Stage 2 of the adventures sees us travel from Planet Baobab to Maun, and on wards to South Gate at the entrance to the #Moremi Reserve.We take a rest day, with some great game viewing, and a potjie (South African Beef Stew), full of the good stuff.On wards we travel to the Magotho campsite, which is part of the Khwai Community trust. Botswana self drive guided with 4x4ventures: Stage1 4x4ventures 2019-05-14 | #4x4ventures takes you on it's first #4X4overlanding trip through #Botswana, and what an #adventure we had. Join us in this episode, as we showcase the first 3 days of this amazing adventure. Travelling from 4Ways Johannesburg, we enter Botswana at Martin's Drift border post and continue towards Serowe, where we stop over at Khama Rhino Sanctuary for Day 1. Day 2 we travel North towards the Makgadikgadi Pans where we spend a night at the sacred site, Kubu Island. Day 3, we drive through the pans towards the town of Gweta, where we stop over at Planet Baobab.Stage 2 is coming in the next 2 weeks, so stay tuned.
