Is your Epson ET-8550 unable to load paper from Cassette #2, showing an out-of-paper message, or turning one pickup roller while the other roller does not move? In this video, Kevin demonstrates how to inspect the Cassette #2 pickup arm, identify a damaged pickup feed gear, and replace the broken PFG gear.
You will learn how to remove the duplexer, observe the pickup rollers during operation, safely position the printer, remove the pickup arm, inspect the two large and two small pickup feed gears, replace only the damaged gear, and reinstall the arm and release levers correctly.
Important: Place the printer on its right side, not its left side, because the mainboard is located on the left. Open the pickup arm carefully so the internal gears and parts do not fall out.
