Now that the rice fields are draining we need to prepare the equipment. We start with our tractors by changing the engine oil as well as replacing the oil filters and fuel filters. The Case and John Deere tractors will have a heavy work-load this spring as they will pull the implements used to work-up the ground. We like to change the oil about every 200 hours on the engine.
This is a necessary prep, in hopes that everything will run smooth as we're breaking ground, prepping to apply rice seed.
Over the weekend we also take a little trip to San Francisco, our favorite city in California. We visit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and it is very inspiring!
