That game is going to take me off the grid for at least a week (same with Metroid Prime 4, Retro Studios pls). I have to imagine, even though we haven't seen it in the trailers yet, that just like most other Metroid games it will feature a certain giant tail bouncing space pirate dragon lizard. We will find out if I'm right in a month or so!

So its gotta get a cover.
Compositionally this might be one of the harder ones I've done, ever. Especially during the transitions. That's why this one took so long, I wanted to make sure I got those absolutely right.

"Guile's theme goes with everything" and now that includes my channel. I love this song, because for whatever reason, I can pull it up and let it play in the background and it will go with literally anything I am doing at the time. Work, cleaning the house, mowing the lawn, whatever.
I've been working on a cover that is both hard and complex for the past week and you all should see it in a week or two. This one is an excellent holdover in the meantime because it is mercifully less difficult than some of the other covers I start working on, and then realize halfway through I might have bit off more than I can chew. So I hope you like it, and I hope you subscribe and stick around for the crazy one once I'm done with it. Cheers!

YES.
I loved Shovel Knight when it came out, and its music was incredible. Jake Kaufman really outdid himself. But hey, its about the music anyway, right? Anyway, this is a revamp of Golden Sun's The Elemental Stars. This was a pretty cool moment playing this when you were younger. The GBA's sound chip was pretty awful, so it falls to the YouTube crowd to make it sound better!Original Metal - DynamoBrad Kroll2015-11-27 | This is an original song called Dynamo. I've always liked music with a "Pulse" that you can feel, and I think the entire song has a pulse to it, especially the end. I'll get back to the video game remixes soon, let me do show and tell for a bit :P.
I've learned a WHOLE lot about mastering audio since my last upload. Much different sound. With every project I finish, I get closer to the sound I hear in my head (although there is a long, long way to go in the audio production department).Crash Bandicoot 2 - Sewer Music (Cover)Brad Kroll2014-12-28 | We're back kids, calculus is done! Easing back into things with an easy one, because the next one I'm covering after this one is rather difficult (already in production). The Crash Bandicoot games were a significant part of my childhood, so of course I must cover my favorite music from the series!Phantasy Star Online - Cry, for IDOLA the Holy (Cover)Brad Kroll2014-06-22 | Phantasy Star Online was an absolutely fantastic game so far ahead of its time that it failed to garner a large audience. Just like the console it was originally released for, the Dreamcast. The game was later released on the Gamecube (the version I originally played), and found much more success there. The entire soundtrack is incredible, I really do recommend giving it a listen if you never have. This track is played during the final phase of the final boss fight, one of the hardest "final bosses" of any game I have ever played.Final Fantasy X - Calm Before The Storm (Cover)Brad Kroll2014-06-07 | So my cat destroyed my green screen I was using in my past videos. Tore it almost directly in half. I have a white background to use, and it is significantly faster to develop a video while not using it, so I think I'll be sticking with the white background for the near future. It lets me put more music up faster anyway, so its a win for everyone.
This was one of my favorite music tracks from Final Fantasy X. I got remarkably close to the synth and orchestra sounds the original track used, and I believe the guitar sound I used (I finally get to break out my stratocaster!) fits the track well. Toward the end I take the track in a new direction, but it is by no means metal like my last few tracks have been. I know that this is a track final fantasy players generally feel very close to, so throw some feedback my way and enjoy.Mega Man X3 - Zeros Theme (Cover)Brad Kroll2014-04-20 | One of the most epic moments in the entire Mega Man X series is when you finally discovered you could control Zero for the first time, and the music was absolutely perfect for it. And perfect for a cover, too.
Sorry for some of the focus issues, I figured out how to fix this halfway through filming so some of the clips I used are still blurry in places. It shouldn't detract too much from the video as a whole, though.
#ZeroTheme #VGM #BradKrollCommand & Conquer - Hell March (Cover)Brad Kroll2014-04-12 | I finally decided to put video on YouTube of me playing instead of a random image. And I did it right. With a green screen. Of the seriously ghetto variety.
This is easily the most well known song from the Red Alert series. The original still holds up well even by today's standards of quality, but I decided to take it a step further. Besides, a simple, easy to play, headbangey song like this one is perfect to cut my video editing teeth on. I clarify: this song is in no way intended to showcase my technical ability (its not hard to play in the least). Its meant to be played through a stereo cranked as loud as it can go. So go nuts. And give me some feedback while you are at it.
