BSA A65 Lightning Venture Classics 2025-10-10 | BSA A65 Lightning for sale. 1969. Matching Numbers. Last owner since 1996. This is clearly a well used but well loved machine. It is mechanically in very good order with a strong, mechanically quiet engine albeit raspy exhaust note. Starts very easily with electronic ignition fitted. The gearbox, clutch and brakes work as intended and it rides well. Cosmetically it wears a number of minor battle scars all over with pride. The frame and chrome is generally very good with some pitting light on the headlight shell and fork top nuts with a couple of very small specs on the otherwise excellent rims. Sadly a fin is broken on the nearside of the cylinder head as can be seen in the photos. This would be a good example of a ride as it is (at this price) or restore machine. I like it as it is. BSA Rocket Gold Star Replica Venture Classics 2025-10-10 | Just come back into stock from a regular customer is this BSA Rocket Gold Star Replica. It is a 1955 A7/A10 frame finished in Touring Trim with US style bars. It benefits from having a very efficient ELECTRIC STARTER FITTED. The engine, gearbox and forks have been rebuilt within the last 800 miles. BSA B31 Rigid Venture Classics 2025-10-02 | A new arrival is this 1949 BSA B31 Rigid with Tele's. It still carries its original transferable registration. The last registered owner since 1991. It is an older restoration but still presents pretty well although it clearly has various minor battle scars from use. The wheels are in very good condition. It looks to be a very correct machine. It starts easily, runs and runs nicely with everything working fine. Very pleasant to ride as these B31's are. The V5c shows that the engine & frame numbers match which they never did on these so it appears to be an historic clerical error which we can rectify when applying for the New Keeper update when sold if required. Norcati (Norton - Ducati) 750SS Venture Classics 2025-10-01 | Here is something very unusual. It is a NorCati 750SS which comprises of a 1958 Norton 88 Dominator rolling chassis fitted with a 1990's Ducati 750SS engine and correctly registered in the V5c with that engine number. Electric starter naturally. Engine converted to right foot gear change as the last owner/builder who is a very long standing customer of ours and is very much a British bike man. He is a retired steam engine engineer & is now well into his 80's hence the sale as he is hanging up his boots. He has owned the rolling chassis since 2013 but converted it to take the Ducati engine in 2015. It starts very easily on the button It runs and rides extremely well and is a lot of fun. It really doesn't feel like a 'special' to ride as it rides so well and feels sorted. Everything works including the carb de-icers. Borrani flanged alloy rims, TLS front brake. No show winner as it has been very well used but a cracking bike. It is featured in & on the cover of the May 2025 issue of Real Classics magazine. Velocette Venom Vee Line Venture Classics 2025-08-27 | Here is a very nice 1963 Velocette Venom Vee Line. Fitted with an Alton Electric Starter & Thurston Belt Primary Drive. It still has its original engine & transferable registration number as well as its original Card Buff Log Book. Last owner for 16 years during which time the machine has had considerable expenditure lavished on it which is all well documented the most recent of which was and engine overhaul in April 2025 undertaken by Nick Payton & Ken Brady. The bike was clearly restored some years ago but still presents very well indeed just showing the odd mark here and there. Clearly extremely original when restored. Featured on the front Cover of Roy Bacons book 'Velocette Viper, Venom & Thruxton as well as being the cover & feature bike in 'The Classic Motorcycle' in the July 1989 issue looking much as it does now. BSA Rocket Gold Star Venture Classics 2025-08-17 | Here is a very special 1962 BSA Rocket Gold Star in Clubman Trim but with handlebars and headlamp ears. Original Buff Log Book; original engine & frame numbers; original transferable registration number; supplied to Broadmeadow Motors, Brimingham 3rd July 1962; almost a complete set of MOT's going back from 2005 to 1974 confirm that the recorded mileage of a little under 10k is almost certainly genuine & correct; this is further verified by a receipt dated August 1983 confirming the then mileage of 4,796 to be genuine and a further receipt from Verralls when they sold it in 2005 with 9,482 miles; the machine is basically completely unrestored with the exception of the seat cover, we believe that even the exhaust is the original one; RRT2 gearbox; original Jones chrome rims; we very much doubt that the engine etc has ever been apart and it looks as though most, if not all of the fasteners are original; we sold this machine to join a superb collection belonging to a regular customer who stores and maintains his machines impreccably in 2017 and it has covered a mere 38 miles since; it has been regularly started and run up to temperature with the odd very short ride around the block to keep things moving; the machine starts very easily; it runs and rides as you would expect for such a low mileage; 'Factory Fresh' machines always seem superior to ride even to really well restored ones; there really can't be many more original examples than this bike left; previously supplied by ourselves. Rudge 500 Special Venture Classics 2025-03-17 | Rudge 500 Special; 1934; original registration; Buff Card Log Book; last owner for 49 years!; we are advised by the last owner that this machine has been used extensively having completed no less than seven 'End to End' runs as well as numerous Continental Tours; he informs us that he has maintained it very well resulting in the fact that it has been exceptionally reliable throughout his ownership; it is showing its age with style cosmetically (not exactly oily rag but certainly not show quality either) but appears to be extremely sound mechanically with nice quiet engine; it charges fine and everything appears to work well; it has been idle for a few years so may require some further re-commissioning work as it is pressed back into regular service; the last two photos show some of the worst rust on the rims and the paintwork on the tank; we have resisted the urge to wash it preferring to just polish the paint and chrome as it looks so lovely as it is; more details and photos on our website at:- www.ventureclassics.com

It is and original UK Supplied Machine and exceptionally original. The last owner for 13 years. BSA DBD34 Gold Star Venture Classics 2025-03-04 | Here we have another lovely BSA DBD34 Gold Star. It was first registered in the UK on 1st July 1959 having been supplied to Henstocks of Mansfield. On the face of it is an original engine & frame match but it is fitted with a later, post 1962 four lug frame which suggests that it was likely damaged sometime in the 1960's when the frame was changed for what is likely to have been a new factory frame as these later frames are quite rare. Obviously a Gold Star frame and the crankcase also with what is almost certainly the original stampings. Very genuine machine with an English Fuel Tank, RRT2 gearbox, Dunlop Chrome Rims, GP Carb etc; Long term previous owner but it was left to his Son on his passing in November 2022. Honda CB450 Black Bomber Venture Classics 2025-01-10 | Honda CB450 Black Bomber; 1966; it has clearly been the subject of a comprehensive restoration some years ago (we know it has been stored in a climate controlled Car Storage facility together with Rolls Royces, Ferrari's etc since 2017); it starts, runs and rides fine with a healthy sounding engine; it is in very good but not concours cosmetic condition; some of the chrome has some pitting especially on the nearside exhaust and there is the odd chip in th epiantowrk that has been touched up; it will clearly require some re-commissioning/checking before being put into active service; this machine came to us as part of a sizeable collection many of which had no paperwork at all as is the case here; the paperwork had been lost for them; a full and proper receipt will be supplied and the low price will reflect that to allow for the hassle of getting it registered and re-commissioned; as there are no number plates fitted we believe it may have been imported as were a number of the others in the collection; we do know that the other machines with no paperwork have now been successfully registered in the UK with no issues at all and are applying for a NOVA Certificate for this Honda; more details and photos on our website at:- www.ventureclassics.com

Suzuki T20 Super Six Venture Classics 2024-11-30 | Suzuki T20 Super Six; Metallic Blue; 1966; imported from Oklahoma; it is clearly very nicely restored but not Concours and not purist correct in that some details aren't original such as the Speedometer/Rev Counter. Honda CL400 Venture Classics 2024-11-29 | Honda CL400; 1998; very good all original cosmetic condition and in exceptionally good order mechanically; we have owned this machine before and it was a real revelation in that it is super comfortable, has lots of low down traction which was a real surprise for a Japanese single and is remarkably lively also handling very well; huge fun to ride; I rode the bike around for a few months when it arrived the first time around and really loved it, my opinion hasn't changed having ridden it again just now. BSA DBD34 Gold Star Clubman Venture Classics 2024-11-27 | BSA DBD34 Gold Star Clubmans; Supplied in May 1958 to Kings of Stretford as a DBD34 Clubman; original transferable registration number; original engine was removed in 1971 as is documented in the Green Card Log book being replaced by another DBD34 Clubman engine that was in a bike supplied by B England of Luton in March 1959; Gold Star Club Certificate confirming the numbers & details; extensive history file including the aforementioned Green Card Log Book, copies of old V5's, old period photos and many old Invoices; engine completely rebuilt by Phil Pearson using his billet Flywheels, Wiscoe Forged Piston etc etc with a receipt in the paperwork; Pearson ELECTRIC STARTER also fitted; still in full Clubmans Trim, with RRT2 Gearbox, GP Carb, 190 front brake, Dunlop Alloys etc; this machine has clearly been extremely well looked after especially in recent times with a book containing all works carried out; stunning looking Gold Star that may not be an original engine & frame match but is far more genuine and authentic than many so called 'Matching Numbers' machines; properly sorted with the 'Pearson' touch to boot. Honda CB900 F2 Venture Classics 2024-11-27 | Honda CB900F2; 1981; Red & White; it wouldn't win any Concours events and it's not purist correct in that it has lost its fairing and has a 4 into 1 exhaust but it does run and ride extremely well; it has been used on many a European Tour and was a reliable old friend to a long term customer of ours who started to find it a little heavy due to his advancing years hence the sale at the time; we then sold it to a local regular customer who has now decided to change it for another British machine; perfect to ride as it is and not be too precious about it or an excellent restoration project as it is mostly there and fundamentally very sound; there is a slight buzzy rattle from the exhaust which can he beard when raving it up whilst stationary but at no other time, it has been there as long as we have known the bike and way beyond that apparently without getting any worse; previously supplied by ourselves; photos and more details on our website at:- www.ventureclassics.com

Triumph TR6C Venture Classics 2024-11-08 | This very lovely 1970 matching numbers Triumph TR6C in Spring Gold (really green) has just come into stock. It was originally despatched to Tri-Cor, USA on 24th March 1970; UK registered in 2005; California Reg Plate from 2004 with it; fully restored by Don Harrell of British Motorcycle Works in the US to a very high standard. It has an very sweet and mechanically quiet (for a Meriden Triumph) engine; It runs and rides exceptionally well. A really superb example in every way; good history file. Matchless G12 CSR Venture Classics 2024-11-08 | This very nice Matchless G12 CSR has just come back into stock.It was first registered in December 1959 but is a 1960 model with the duplex frame. It has benefitted from a recent engine rebuild including crank re-grind which shows because the engine is very sweet and willing. The original magneto has been converted to electronic ignition. Velocette Viceroy Venture Classics 2024-10-31 | Here is a rare 1961 Velocette Viceroy which is the first of these we have had. It has been beautifully restored which is well documented. It is a 250cc flat twin, 2 Stroke with electric starter as standard. It looks like a Scooter but actually feels a little more like a motorcycle ride in that the engine is in the conventional motorcycle position and the wheels are a little larger than those on most scooters. Triumph TR6SS Trophy Venture Classics 2024-10-16 | Here is a very dear old friend back with us. It is a 1962, matching numbers Triumph TR6SS; it still has its original registration; original Buff Card Log Book; probably the most extensive history file that we have ever had with a machine going back to when it was new including a photo album picturing the machine from new and throughout its life including the day it was collected new from Kings of Oxford; we bought this machine from the original owner and it was used by us for many years on endless enjoyable and always reliable trips; it is now an older restoration but still presents exceptionally well having had a fair bit of money and time lavished on it by its subsequent three owners who have all been regular customers of ours; it may no longer be Concours but it is EXTREMELY smart and more importantly lovely mechanically; it has to be the nicest overall example available; older photos still on the 'About Us' part of our website; we sold it quite recently to a regular customer whose circumstances have unexpectedly changed hence the sale again much sooner than anticipated; more details and photos on our website at:- www.ventureclassics.com
Ariel 250 Leader Venture Classics 2024-09-24 | We have been repeatedly asked for videos & photos of this lovely little Ariel 250 Leader so here it is as it arrived and in its 'working clothes', unprepared/uncleaned. 1962; Black & Ivory; fitted with pretty much every conceivable option including, hard panniers complete with original lining bags, rear bumper, indicators, parking light, screen extender, clock etc; original Workshop Manual and Handbook; converted to 12v and electronic ignition fitted; rebored using Suzuki type pistons; last owner 3 years and previous owner to him for 41 years; older restoration but still really lovely throughout; starts easily hot and cold; runs and rides really well; engine is not the one it left the factory with; really lovely example.
