I can’t get over how gorgeous these donuts are! That vibrant color is everything! But wait until you taste them!

I’m amazed by this every week, but Keto Chow shake mixes are the most magical baking ingredient I’ve ever worked with! When you use it you don’t need to use as much keto flour, because the shake mix almost acts like a flour itself! It gives you the most incredible texture for baked goods and it tastes so good!

For our donuts we’re going to combine 2 eggs with 1 Tbsp granular sweetener, 1/4 cup melted butter, one serving blueberry pie keto chow shake mix, 1 Tbsp almond flour and 1/4 tsp baking powder. Whisk that up and then fold in about 12 halved fresh blueberries.

Load up into silicone donut molds sprayed with a little avocado oil and bake at 350° for about 20 minutes or until they puff up and make the whole house smell like blueberry cake! 😍

They’re delicious just like that; but if you’d like to make that stunning blueberry glaze, microwave 100 g fresh blueberries one minute and press them through a fine strainer. You should be left with almost nothing after you work everything through. It will give you the most beautiful smooth purée! Add 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice and a cup of powdered sweetener and whisk until smooth. Dip your donuts into the glaze, coat, and transfer to a wire rack to drip dry and cool/set.

Keto Chow 2023-08-08 | How Bizarre 🧄🍪

Garlic Bread Cookies with the @ketochow Savory Chicken Soup Mix. I’m not sure how this works but it does! And made with chicken soup mix of all things? The recipe is fairly fool-proof, and you can sub in garlic extract drops to keep these cookies super low carb (and save you the trauma of chopping up sticky garlic).

Recipe:
•1/2 cup butter
•8 garlic cloves (or 1 tsp garlic powder or garlic extract)
•1 packet keto chow savory chicken soup
•1 cup almond flour
•1 tsp baking powder
•1 cup grated parmesan cheese
•3 eggs, whisked
•1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
•about 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
•marinara and parsley for serving

Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat with garlic. Cook for 1 minute, being careful not to let the butter brown. Reserve and cool. Mix together dry ingredients, then add the garlic butter, reserving about 1/4 cup for glazing. Add eggs, Parmesan cheese, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until dough is combined and chill for 30 minutes in the fridge. Place large spoonfuls of the dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet and press down gently on each cookie to flatten. Top with shredded parmesan. Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Baste cookies with reserved garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve warm with a side of marinara.

Cubano Muffins with the Savory Chicken Soup mix. Keto Chow has dozens of great recipes on their website, one of which is their basic pancake and muffin batter. I took that recipe and turned it into a savory, Cubano sando inspired treat. Name a better sandwich, I triple pig dare you!

Recipe:
•12 slices of prosciutto
•2 packets Keto Chow Savory Chicken Soup mix
•2 tsp baking powder
•2 tbsp coconut flour
•1 cup heavy cream
•2 tbsp melted butter
•2 large eggs
•1/2 cup water
•about 1 cup roasted pork, diced
•about 1/2 cup ham, finely diced
•1 cup Swiss cheese, diced
•about 1/2 cup pickles, diced
•mustard for garnish

Line a greased muffin pan with prosciutto to form cups. Whisk together Keto Chow, coconut flour, and baking powder. Add butter, cream, eggs and water. Mix. Add pork, ham, pickles and half the Swiss cheese. Divide batter into muffin cups and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until cooked through. Drizzle muffins with mustard and enjoy!

Erythritol is the work horse 🐎 of the sugar-free world. It is a sugar alcohol that can be found granulated and powdered and is the carrying agent in most sweetener blends, like monk fruit and stevia blends. it’s inexpensive and it offers many uses.
❄️It does have a cooling effect as an aftertaste, and it doesn’t truly dissolve, so it recrystallizes after being cooked.
🍓It’s mildly sweet and functions best with another sweetener like stevia or monk fruit to strengthen its sweetness.

🍰MONK FRUIT & STEVIA
Monk fruit and stevia extracts are great to use in addition to your favorite granulated sweeteners; in fact, they may already be included in granulated sweetener blends you may be using. Monk fruit comes from the luo han guo plant and has a long history of being used in Chinese traditional medicine for its health benefits.
🌿Stevia comes from the Stevia rebaudiana, native to South America, and is also known for its medicinal properties. Extracts from these plants are highly concentrated liquids which only take a few drops to sweeten almost anything—coffee and tea, fat bombs, gelatin-based desserts, yogurt, smoothies, keto hot cereals, and more.
🔍They can also work with other sweeteners to round out the sweetness.

🥐ALLULOSE
It’s a naturally occurring “rare” sugar that can’t be metabolized by the body. It does bring many of the characteristics of sugar to baking and cooking.
🍦Allulose can caramelize (which is a great bonus, as not all keto sweeteners will) and makes ice cream scoopable and soft. It helps keep moisture in baked goods, too!�🍪That makes it a great all-purpose sweetener. It does tend to brown quickly however so it can make baked goods look overdone, and it stays soft after cooking, so it doesn’t achieve a crunchy texture with it in things like brittles or crisp cookies.
🤢Sometimes can cause digestive distress so don’t overdo it. Try it in small doses to begin with. Your digestion should adjust as you become accustomed to it, but it can be a steep learning curve.

1 cup cottage cheese
1 packet chocolate @ketochow
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tbsp sun butter
2 tbsp sugar free chocolate chips melted

Combine first 3 ingredients in a blender until smooth. Place into a mason jar, top with sun butter and melted sugar free chocolate chips. Refrigerate until chocolate is a hard shell and enjoy!

Rhythm Kitchen Garlic Cookies [RECIPE IN DESCRIPTION]

Keto Chow 2023-07-26 | How Bizarre 🧄🍪

Garlic Bread Cookies with the @ketochow Savory Chicken Soup Mix. I’m not sure how this works but it does! And made with chicken soup mix of all things? The recipe is fairly fool-proof, and you can sub in garlic extract drops to keep these cookies super low carb (and save you the trauma of chopping up sticky garlic).

Recipe:
•1/2 cup butter
•8 garlic cloves (or 1 tsp garlic powder or garlic extract)
•1 packet keto chow savory chicken soup
•1 cup almond flour
•1 tsp baking powder
•1 cup grated parmesan cheese
•3 eggs, whisked
•1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
•about 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
•marinara and parsley for serving

Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat with garlic. Cook for 1 minute, being careful not to let the butter brown. Reserve and cool. Mix together dry ingredients, then add the garlic butter, reserving about 1/4 cup for glazing. Add eggs, Parmesan cheese, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until dough is combined and chill for 30 minutes in the fridge. Place large spoonfuls of the dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet and press down gently on each cookie to flatten. Top with shredded parmesan. Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Baste cookies with reserved garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve warm with a side of marinara.

Butter Bacon Cupcakes 🥓🧈🧁 by @rhythmkitchen [RECIPE IN DESCRIPTION]

Keto Chow 2023-07-16 | These are made with the Maple Waffle Keto Chow. Think gooey butter cake jazzed up with maple bacon jam. It’s all that fat and protein, with none of that sugar and excess carbs. Makes you feel a lot better about going out for a third encore 😜

RECIPE
For the bottom layer:
•1 packet Keto Chow Maple Waffle mix
•1/4 cup coconut flour
•1/4 cup sweetener
•1 tsp baking powder
•1/2 cup butter, softened
•2 eggs
•1/2 tsp maple extract (optional)
For the top layer:
•1/2 cup butter, softened
•8 oz cream cheese, softened
•1 cup powdered sweetener
•2 eggs
•1/2 tsp maple extract (optional)
For the bacon jam:
•24 oz bacon, cooked
•1/4 cup sugar-free maple syrup
•2 tbsp strong coffee

Mix bottom layer ingredients together and distribute evenly in a muffin pan lined with large baking cups. press down firmly. Whip together the top layer ingredients and distribute evenly over the tops. Fill about 3/4 of the way full. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until tops are just set. Let cool completely. Cupcakes will deflate quite a bit. In a food processor, pulse together bacon jam ingredients until a chunky paste forms. Scoop a spoonful of jam into the center of each cupcake and enjoy!

Siobhan Huggins is the Research Specialist at The Lipedema Project, and has been an independent researcher focusing on metabolic health and disease for over four years. In 2021, when she was diagnosed with lipedema, Siobhan focused her research efforts on understanding the condition and its origins. She has since joined the board of The Lipedema Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on furthering lipedema research and advocacy, and has given various presentations on lipedema pathophysiology and the mechanisms of why ketogenic diets may be uniquely beneficial for managing lipedema symptoms and progression.

Leslyn Keith is a certified lymphedema therapist and has a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis on lymphedema and obesity. Dr. Keith has started four lymphedema therapy programs in California including two in private practice. She has treated lymphatic and fat disorders for over 20 years and currently researches, consults, and lectures on lymphedema, lipedema, and obesity nationally and internationally. She is the author of two books and published several articles about the efficacy of a ketogenic diet for lymphatic and fat disorders. Currently, Dr. Keith is Director of Research and Board President for The Lipedema Project and an instructor in lymphedema therapy for Klose Training.

We started the Keto Salt Lake conference to bring speakers to our local community but lately, we’ve thought that a 2-day conference is not the best way to accomplish our goals. From 2017-2020, we hosted a monthly keto “MEAT-up” – we’ve been hesitant to start it back up again with all the restrictions and such, but for now, that all seems to be less concerning to many people. So we’re going to bring back the meat-ups with an enhanced format.

We will be doing the meat-ups on a quarterly basis, at least initially. We will be bringing in a speaker (or 2 if you’re lucky!) to talk to the attendees. Some will be relatively local, and some will be from far away, but they’re going to be awesome.

With most conferences, there are several presentations/talks from different speakers that come at you in rapid succession. We feel that this new format will give the attendees the ability to really focus on the specific message.

We’re hoping that the quality of the speakers, and the interval between the meetings, will make the meat-ups something special that people will want to make time for. I don’t know if it’ll be enough for people to want to travel across the country to attend but they can at least connect up and watch it with us.

Making Dissolvable Flavor Labels for Keto Chow

Keto Chow 2023-07-11 | This is a companion video to our blog post on https://info.ketochow.xyz/blog/printable-dissolving-labels It walks you through the process of using the Avery Design and Print software to create label sheets.

Have you ever mixed up several flavors of Keto Chow and went “oh dang, which one was Salted Caramel and which one was Root Beer?” Or have you said “Wait, how do I scan the barcode if I threw away the package?” Don’t worry, we got you covered!

The idea for this comes from one of the moderators on the Keto Chow Facebook Support Group (Hi Marie!) who spent a LOT of time putting together printable files for the Avery 4224 labels (1-1/4″ x 2-3/8″, 90 labels for about $12.50 or $0.14 per label). We had many people ask if Keto Chow could put the files onto our website, unfortunately, I don’t have license details for some of the images that were used and I don’t want to risk the potential problems with copyright that might result. Miriam wanted some of the printed dissolvable labels right away but just as I was about to order them, I decided to check around for alternatives. I quickly found the DayMark Dissolvable Laser Labels (1″ x 2-5/8″ 750 labels for about $33.23 or $0.044 per label) – they’re a little shorter and wider, and about 1/3 the price! The different size meant I needed to re-do the templates from scratch, but that also meant we could host the images!
