Watch. Be inspired. Then take action to make change. "In order for things to change, you have to change." - Jim Rohn (1930 - 2009)
This video is shared for educational purposes, only. It was uploaded because most other copies are tainted with advertising on the front and back end of the video. No copyright infringement intended; I just wanted to share one of my favorite Jim Rohn philosophies with the world. For more Jim Rohn content, visit www.jimrohn.com.
I reposted this because I saw it on another YouTube channeled riddled with non-related, 3rd party advertisements and spammy links. I have reposted it without all of that - in hopes that it might empower and bless you like it has done for so many. Giving #gratitude to Dr. Trimm for recording this powerful prayer!

"I’m going to keep it short," said Washington, who received an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters at the ceremony.
"Number one: Put God first," he said. "Put God first in everything you do."
"Everything you think you see in me, everything I’ve accomplished, everything you think I have – and I have a few things," said Washington. "Everything that I have is by the grace of God. Understand that. It’s a gift."
n leading up to those remarks, the star of such films as Malcolm X, Training Day, Glory, The Book of Eli, and The Equalizer, said, “When I was young and started really making it as an actor, I came and talked to my mother and said, ‘Mom, did you think this was going to happen? I’d be so big and I’ll be able to take care of everybody and I can do this and I can do that.’"
"She said, ‘Boy, stop it right there, stop it right there, stop it right there!" he continued. "She said, ‘If you only knew how many people been praying for you.’ How many prayer groups she put together, how many prayer talks she gave, how many times she splashed me with holy water to save my sorry behind."
"She said, ‘Oh, you did it all by yourself,'" recounted Washington. "'I’ll tell you what you can do by yourself: Go outside and get a mop and bucket and clean these windows – you can do that by yourself, superstar.’"
"So, I’m saying that because I want to congratulate all the parents and friends and family and aunties and uncles and grandmother and grandfathers, all the people that helped you get to where you are today," Washington told the graduates. "I’m going to tell you about three stories. I’m going to keep it short. I remember my graduation speaker, got up there and went on forever, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah."
"I’m going to keep it short," he said, and then made his point about God and putting Him first in our lives. "Number one: Put God first. Put God first in everything you do. Everything you think you see in me. Everything I’ve accomplished, everything thing you think I have – and I have a few things. Everything that I have is by the grace of God. Understand that. It’s a gift."
Towards the end of his speech, Washington repeated some of the comments he has made over the years about reliance on God. He reminded that crowd that no matter how much you attain in material goods, "you will never see a U-Haul behind a hearse."
He also told the graduates of the small, private, historically black college in New Orleans, "I pray that you put your slippers under your bed tonight, so that when you wake up in the morning you have to get on your knees to reach them."
“And while you’re down there, say thank you," he said. "Thank you for grace, thank you for mercy, thank you for understanding, thank you for wisdom, thank you for parents. ... True desire in the heart for anything good is God’s proof to you, sent beforehand, to indicate that it’s yours already."

Like there are no limitations and aren't you tired? There's some of you out there right now, you're tired. Somebody telling you when to go to work, somebody telling you when to take lunch, somebody telling you when to take a vacation, somebody telling you what you can and cannot do. Some of us, we were born to fly. But what I'm telling you is that when you become the right person, what I mean by the right person is once you identify who you are and you begin to separate yourself from the masses and when you begin to see your individuality. When you begin to see your talents, when you begin to see your personal skill.
Alright, it's like this: If you've ever worn a suit from the store before, that's one thing. But if you've ever got a suit tailored, are you hearing what I'm saying? If you ever got a tailored suit before, you know that it's different from going to buy a "one size fits" all suit to having a suit that's tailor made. It fits different, the pants are different, the way you walk in it is totally different. Why? Because it's a fit to you. And what I'm telling you is, you need to have a tailor made life.
When you were created, you were created with a specific purpose, a specific design. I don't care if you were born and your parents didn't claim you, you're still special. I don't care if your mom wasn't in your life, your dad wasn't in your life, you are still special. When you were created, you were designed to do what nobody else could do. And I'm telling you, when you become the right person, when you become the right person, what you do is you start separating yourself from other people, you begin to have a certain uniqueness. As long as you following other people, as long as you being a copycat, you will never ever be the best copycat in the world. But you will be the best you can be.
So I'm telling you:
#1: I'm telling you to define your value.
#2: If you wanna make more money, if you wanna be more successful, if you wanna have and do stuff you ain't never done before, number two I'm asking you to invest in you. That's right. Invest what?
#1: I'm asking you to invest time. I'm asking you to invest time in yourself. Some of you, you spend so much time with other people, you spend so much time tryna get people to like you, you spend trying to fit in that you don't even know who you are. You know other people more than you know yourself. You study them, you know about them, you wanna hang out with them, you wanna be just like them. You've invested so much time in them that you don't know who you are. I challenge you to spend time by yourself. I challenge you to take yourself out.
There are some ladies out there, you fine, you pretty, you got it going on. There are some guys, you handsome, you suave, you got swag - but you know what your problem is? You've been in one relationship after another relationship, but never been in the good relationship cause you don't even know you. You spend so much time taking her out, you spend so much trying to impress him, you spend so much time buying her flowers, taking her out to lunch, you spend so much time calling him, you don't even know who you are. You heard what I said. You've invested so much of your time in being liked by other people, being loved by other people, being appreciated by other people that you don't even know who you are. And I challenge you to invest time in your own self. I challenge you to get to a place where people don't even like you and don't even bother you anymore. Why? Cause you're not concerned with trying to make them happy because you're trying to blow up, you're trying to get to next level. ET, I don't like the fact that you do this. I don't care. I'm not living my life for you, I'm living my life for me.

This is a classic clip of Les Brown doing what he does best - getting people fired up to be a better version of themselves. I simply posted it years ago because most of the other versions on Youtube have unrelated advertisements and clickbait.
