There are places within us that do not speak in words. They move like slow currents beneath the surface, shaping the direction of our lives without ever announcing themselves. “Submerged Emotions” is a journey into that quiet realm, the deep interior where feeling becomes landscape, where memory becomes water, and where the ancient ruins of our own stories rest in silence. Down there, the light is different. It filters through the surface in scattered beams, illuminating fragments of who we’ve been, pillars of old beliefs, statues of forgotten selves, broken but still beautiful. These are the remnants of the gods we once served: fear, love, hope, loss, longing. They stand like ghosts in the depths, watching as we drift past, remembering what it meant to be whole.
This descent is not about darkness; it’s about truth. The deeper we go, the slower everything becomes. The noise of the world fades, and the pulse of the body takes over. Breath becomes tide. Thought becomes current. Emotion becomes the quiet hum of existence. In that stillness, we begin to understand that the things we call emotions are not fleeting moods, they are ancient forces, steering us through the labyrinth of experience. They are the compass points of the soul, guiding us toward the places we need to explore, the lessons we need to learn, the parts of ourselves we need to reclaim.
When I create from this space, I’m not composing sound, I’m translating the language of the deep. The tones are the movement of water around memory, the resonance of feeling that has lived inside us for centuries. This is the mythic journey inward, the pilgrimage to the forgotten temple within. It’s where the gods of emotion dwell, not as deities to be worshiped, but as energies to be understood. Each one holds a fragment of our story, grief, joy, peace, desire, all waiting to be seen again in the soft light that filters through the depths.
“Submerged Emotions” is an invitation to sink beneath the surface of yourself, to listen to what moves quietly there. It’s a reminder that the journey through life is not just forward, it is downward, inward, and timeless. Beneath the waves of thought and the ruins of old identities lies the still, luminous truth of being. And when you reach that place, you realize you were never lost, only waiting to remember the calm that has always been there, glowing faintly in the deep.
This is the first in a series I am developing, and will cover... yep, you guessed, Emotions, all of them. I hope to see you all throughout the entire explorational journey into one of our oldest and most constant companions on this long and winding road that is life... emotion.
