Haven't been challenging myself a lot lately when it comes to creations, so I think it was good for me to go more outside my comfort zone and use parts I rarely use. I've also honestly always struggled with re-creating animal heads and faces, so it feels like I've learnt something. SPORE: Scary Creations Montage 2 Salooverall 2017-10-26 | All of these are made by me :)And so it is that time of the year again! Alright I know I didn't make one of these last year but still, gonna try next year so it can become a tradition :PSince I know I'm gonna get questions about it (probably still will because people aren't exactly in love with reading descriptions) UBD stands for Underground By Design and is a Spore art style which is defined by scary and/or gory themes. The majority of these are old creations that I haven't shown on Youtube yet, I did make four just for the purpose of this video. Those are The Thing (which is pretty loosely based on canon and not a recreation), the Pale Man, UBD_Mask, UBD_Arachnophobia and UBD_Trypophobia. SPORE TUTORIAL: Spore Creatures in Blender Salooverall 2017-10-22 | Heyyy!This is a tutorial I've been planning on making for quite some time now, especially since as far as I know there are no tutorials that work for the current version of Blender. At least none that describes how to assign the textures.Step by step process:Launch Spore. Load the creature you want to use into the editor. Switch into paintmode, and open up the cheat panel by pressing ctrl+shift+c.Type in "colladaexport".Accept the EULA agreement.Exit out of Spore.Open Autodesk FBX converter. Put the creature file with the ending .dae in the left hand window. Make sure the destination format says FBX 2013 and click convert. Remove the previous file and go back into the folder and add the new FBX one. In the pop up menu in destination format select obj. Make sure both bake deformations and triangulate are checked.Open up BlenderGo into File and select import wavefront .objSelect the creature file.Rotate it so it stands upfront. Change the rendering engine from Blender Render to Cycles Render. SPORE: SCP 049 (No mods::Timelapse::Creepy and Cute) Salooverall 2017-10-20 | This is one of the more requested SCP's, and I can understand that since it does look pretty neato! I used to be terrified to death of Plague Doctors when I was a kid, mostly because they had a super scary one standing at our local museum, I turned around and got jump scared by it. ._.Took some liberties with the design (wow totally never done that before) so it looks slightly more monstrous. I've found that a lot of the SCPs have very human proportions, so I thought I'd mess them up a little bit. As with most SCP's there's very little "canon" info to go on but I also might have made some mistakes. SPORE: Spawn of Ghatanothoa (No mods::Timelapse::Creepy and Cute) Salooverall 2017-08-22 | People have requested Lovecraftian creature from time to time so I thought I should get around to it! This isn't a canon creature (as far as I'm aware anyway) but it is inspired by Ghatanothoa in large.
