Step-by-Step Instructions:
Adobe Premiere Pro Solution 1:
Step 1: Put your Clip on Video Track 1 and Move the Playhead 1 Frame Forward
Step 2: Select Video Track 2 and Add the Same Clip to Video Track 2
Step 3: Double Click the Clip on Video Track 2 to Load it Into the Source Window
Step 4: Open Effects Controls and Change the Opacity to 50%
Step 5: Render the Clip
Step 6: Trim All Video Clips and Adjust to Keep Timeline in Sync
Adobe Premiere Pro Solution 2:
Step 1: Put Your Clip on Video Track 1 and Move the Playhead 1 Frame Forward
Step 2: Select Video Track 2 and Add the Same Clip to Video Track 2
Step 3: Move the Playhead to the Start of the Video Clip on Track 2 and Select Video Track 3
Step 4: Add the Same Video Clip to Video Track 3
Step 5: Double Click the Video Clip on Track 2 to Load it into the Source Panel
Step 6: Open the Effects Control Panel & Change the Opacity to 66% for the Video Clip on Track 2
Step 7: Double Click the Video Clip on Track 3 and Select the Effects Control Menu
Step 8: Change the Opacity of the Video Clip on Track 3 to 33%
Step 9: Render the Clips
Step 10: Remember to Trim the Ends of All Clips to Keep the Timeline in Sync
Final Cut Pro X Solution:
Step 1: Place Your Clip in the Timeline and Copy and Paste it (Command C, ⌘C and then Command V, ⌘V)
Step 2: Drag the Duplicate Clip on Top of the Video Track
Step 3: Move Your Playhead to the Start of the Video Clip and Advance it 1 Frame
Step 4: Then Slide the Video Clip on the Upper Video Track 1 Space Forward to Snap it to the Playhead
Step 5: Highlight the Video Clip on the Upper Track
Step 6: Open the Inspector and Then Composting
Step 7: Change the Opacity on the Top Video Clip to 50%
Step 8: Render the Clip
Step 9: Remember to Trim The Ends of the Video Clips to Maintain Sync
