Peter later left the band. Other members soon joined. First there was Rob Lambert then Jon Durno, who Steve met in a pub. Next to join the band was John Eacott, who was found busking in Soho Square. Adrian York joined the band in December 1982, knowing John, he went along to the band knowing they needed a piano player. There was one other person in the band, Tony Wallman, but Tony left the band just before Roman Holliday hit the big time.The 7 member British band first appeared on the scene in 1983 releasing their first record. They had big baggy clothes, slip on trainers and wore sailor hats, which was a little strange. The shock everyone had was in their music.

All that jazz - Cruel Summer Max Kabsther 2021-01-08 | Members: Peter Lööf vocals and guitar, Patrik Willard bass, Per Birger Ejnelind guitar, Pontus Wärmhed drums, Niklas Hellberg keyboards and Marie Lindbäck vocals. Most of the band members were born in 1964 save for Pontus and Marie who were born in 1965.After playing in various punk bands, Peter, Patrik and Per formed All That Jazz in the autumn of 1981. Strong influences at that time were British post punk bands such as Joy Division, The Cure, Bauhaus and so on. In January 1983 All That Jazz released 12″ single The Banner of Love, 1000 copies on Wire Records. On the b side was the Beatles Norwegian Wood from Rubber Soul and our own My Blue Heaven, recorded on an 8 tracks in Niklas Hellbergs dads garage.After being signed to virgin records America, All That Jazz released the self entitled album All That Jazz in 1987 and toured Japan, Britain, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Denmark and Finland. the us tour was cancelled because one member was denied a visa for the US. Producers of the album were Langer/Winstanley who also produced Madness, Dexys Midnight Runners, Elvis Costello, Teardrop Explodes among others. Shortly after, a band called Johnny Hates Jazz was signed to Virgin Records and had two monster hits. Virgin told All That Jazz to change their name and ATJ told them to bugger off, which they did. In 1991 All That Jazz released a full length album called Colourblind in Scandinavia and Finland. Patrik and Marie had left before this and things were getting out of hand. tours for that album were cancelled and All That Jazz never played again as a band.

Their lyrical themes were positive and covered topics such as romance and peace. Their self-titled debut album was produced by Bill Whelan (later of Riverdance fame), and they became the first Irish band to secure a recording contract with an American label. However, they were short-lived, splitting in 1984, but reunited for a brief period in 1986–87. In 1991, John Hughes would discover the Corr siblings during an audition for The Commitments and would soon become The Corrs' manager.

Breeding Ground - Reunion Max Kabsther 2020-09-07 | Breeding Ground was formed in Toronto in 1981 and subscribed to the cold wave mould of acts like New Order's school of rhythm. Their first release was an untitled 4 song 12" EP in 1982 on Mannequin Records and featured original drummer Ken Jones.They would receive notoriety with the independent 12" single "Reunion"/"Slaughter" in 1983 on Fringe. It was quite successful at college radio stations and ended up selling out three pressings.The follow-up LP, 1986's 'Tales Of Adventure', was produced by ex-Blue Peter guitarist Chris Wardman (who later joined the band for a short period) enlisting the help of Alta Moda singer Molly Johnson and Jason Sniderman on keyboards. The record made it to No.1 on the campus charts and No.60 on CFNY's "Best 86 of '86" based on the success of the single and video for "Happy Now I Know".Sometime after the release of the LP, bassist Jonathan Strayer left and they effectively disbanded. However, Wardman and Shirreff continued writing material in Wardman's basement along with bassist Gary Quinn and before long, the remainder of Breeding Ground was recruited back for the 1987 line-up of Shirreff, Gladish, Quinn, Hunter and Wardman.
