Darkwatch: Curse of the West | Xbox Widescreen 60 fps | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary Ermacgerd Longplays 2021-11-15 | Full game longplay of Darkwatch: Curse of the West, a steampunk-western horror FPS game, released in October/August 2005, for the PS2 and Xbox, this being the OG Xbox version, running in 480p and hacked to run in widescreen mode during gameplay and in FMVs, (in-game cutscenes stay stretched), all that was not available on the launch day. FOV is still terribly low for an FPS game, but that can't be helped. Land of the Dead for the Xbox comes to mind, with the FOV. Jericho must have never gone to the oculist, his vision is terrible, hehe.Recorded in 1440p, and in 60 fps, as the game reaches that level of performance quite often, save for the very GPU intensive moments. It's a stark difference from the PS2 port, which is locked to 30 fps and has a horrible input lag. I'd consider that as an inferior version in almost every possible way.Game features undead, demons, a lot of fighting, boobs, good looking girls, like Cassidy Sharp, voiced by Jennifer Hale AKA FemShep, a GIGACHAD main hero, that is too much of a CHAD for his own (and the world's) good, a good-evil progression system, with different abilities/spells for each, simplified moral choice system in almost every level/quest, two different endings, oh, and definitely more boobs. :))The game mixes the Western, horror and steampunk genres, telling the story of Jericho Cross, an outlaw gunfighter in the late 19th-century American Frontier who has been turned into a vampire and forcibly recruited by the titular monster-hunting secret organization to fight against supernatural forces.

It was released in late November 2008 for the PC only. There are reasons to believe it is running on the same game engine as Black Mirror II/III. Here it is running at a full 3840x2160/4K60 (though the aspect ratio is still 16:10, with bars left and right, same as Black Mirror II), highest possible details. Recorded at 4K60 H.265 HEVC via OBS. This here is the Steam version of the game.It is a classic style point & click adventure game set just before the beginning of World War I and during the first weeks from the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, taking plance in major western european cities, with everything on par with the rest of the genre when it comes to gameplay, including visuals, but TWO big twists: an inter-city train map puzzle, whenever you need to travel to another location. You have to reach your destination, and avoid the enemy "patrols", who can move in the same directions as you, one step at a time, which makes almost every travel really tiresome and full of RNG. And that is actually the worst aspect of the whole game for me, which is why I skipped it whenever I got the option to do so. The second one is... dancing on stage, for points, money or whatever. It was pretty difficult actually. But, about Rise and Fall - I rated it 8/10 as far as mods to great games go. The gameplay, the style, the visuals - it's all from Mafia, and it's as good as it was back in 2002. The story here - it's absolutely believable, and sensible, and I applaud the modders here, it's something that we could expect of Mafia's prequel. Main issue I noticed are two things, well, three things. First one is a big problem - scripts. Many instances of them not working, bugging out, unable to progress, softlocks etc. When it happens it sucks a lot. But they work, usually. Second one - crashes. I guess it crashed due to the engine, and nothing could be done about it, but the mod crashed for me more often than unmodded game. The third one - difficulty level. I know modders gonna be modders, but holy shiet boys, please don't make your mods (I say it to every modder out there) a sort of "who can git gud more" contest, it's at times so over the top it's insane. xD Especially the endings - many, many retries. And the difficulty was also not evenly spread, Part One is easy, maybe even too easy, but Part Two and Finale are the opposite of that.BUT, to sum it all up - 8/10, great job, exactly the sort of mod I would love to see made for a game I love. And I do hope it happens for every great classic out there eventually, it's a great thing! I guess. That's the first Yakuza game I've ever played. It was developed and released by Sega in Japan in June 2011, then released internationally in other regions in March 2012. This here is played on the original PS3 Slim hardware, with the game's 1080p MODE TURNED ON, meaning the resolution here is not 720p, but something like 960x1080 or somewhere lower than that, still limited to 30 fps (and not hitting it very often). It was recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.Shun Akiyama and his secretary Hana witness a zombified figure attacking yakuza of the Tojo Clan. With the assistance of Tojo Clan member Tomoaki Nagahama, Akiyama and Hana are able to return to their office. Later, Hana falls ill while their office is overrun by zombies, so Akiyama moves her to the New Serena bar. While looking for medicine for Hana, Akiyama sees several massive barricades planted all over Kamurocho by the Japanese Self-Defense Force (SDF) in order to contain the outbreak. Consequently, a price was put on his head by the Mob, and he was forced to flee the United States and settle in Micronesia. Here, Jack purchased a used boat from a government auction and started another business: ferrying tourists and diving clubs around the area. Eventually, a journalist named Valerie Cortez offered Jack a large sum of money for taking her to a remote archipelago known as "Jacutan". Jack accepted the job, albeit with caution.The game begins as Jack and Val arrive at Jacutan. Halo 2 (2004) | Xbox on Xbox 360 | 1440p60 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary Ermacgerd Longplays 2024-09-22 | Longplay of Halo 2, a sci-fi war shooter, developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios on November 9th 2004, for the OG Xbox exclusively, and then 3 years later in May 2007 as a "Windows Vista" tech-demo of sorts, called Halo 2 for Windows Vista PCs. This here is the OG Xbox version of the game, running on a modded Xbox 360 via a (hacked) Backwards Compatibility, at 1080p display mode with a 4x (presumably, maybe 2x) MSAA as per X360's standard emulation practices, and a 16:9 anamorphic widescreen. Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.===============================================================================The state of the X360 emulation for Halo 2 - Not a recommended way to play. Not because of the slowdowns (there aren't any real ones), image quality (it's quite supperb at 1080p display mode and with X360's 4xMSAA), sound (it's real good) or loadings (much shorter than on my OG Xbox machine, much). Nah, the only one, and a big one nonethless, issue is with the "ghosting artefacts". And what I mean by that - there are some moments in the game, especially later on, that some part of the screen kind of "imprints" onto the screen, leaving a faint sillouette of that imprint onto for pretty much forever, unless you restart the game/change level. It's almost like an OLED burn-in, but coming from the software side of things. And I found those imprints so obtrusive and annoying that, despite them happening in the second half of the game mostly, I can't really recommend for You to play OG Xbox Halo 2 on your Xbox 360 consoles. Go with the 2012 remake of Halo 2, remaster within Master Chief Collection, or just stay with the OG Xbox console. Still, the game is superb and a great sci-fi shooter, one of the best of that whole generation, if not THE best. Still, that X360 emulation left a sour taste, and I thought the campaign was much too long and boring after a while, like it was artifically prolonged out of wrong reasons. And do note, it's like 4-5th time I've played Halo 2. :))===============================================================================Halo 2 takes place in the 26th century. So, a rather average game, though I liked it quite a bit, and rated it honest 7/10 as I was a fan of the locations and darker tone.American journalist Jonathan Danter hears of the recent murder of his uncle Frank, who has been considered dead for years. In fact he has been working for the Vatican's intelligence service. Jonathan travels to the funeral in London and gets involved in a church conspiracy which reaches back to the day where Judas betrayed Jesus Christ. It was sort of compared to the "Longest Journey", as it's also a female main hero (bit more "sexy" than in LJ or Syberia), and her wild adventures, full of bad people and monsters, I guess. It's definitely not the "Longest", nor is it a real "Journey", but anyway. *This here I believe to have been recorded on my retro PC in a highest resolution possible, highest details, which means something like 1024x768 most likely. I rated this an honest 3/10, after 6, SIX, hours of trying to complete it. Only 3,5h hours were deemed "usable" for this longplay, all the rest are just retries/crashes/issues/softlocks. Dusk-12 is a sort of virus/mutant twist on their typical "all action, no thinking" shooter genre, it was released on the PC in November 2007. This here is the Steam version of the game, running at 2560x1440 resolution, highest possible details enabled, with higher FOV engaged during gameplay. Still, I rated it 3/10 immediately after finishing it, constituting a clear Certified Crap game for me. I had almost NO fun at all, and the boss fight with the chopper is just straight up atrocious. The plot is completely bogus, and I understood any of it only after playing it and reading it through on the internet. 3/10 boys, a crap, but a cheap and pretty short one. The virus was unleashed upon the unsuspecting population who became crazed, bloodthirsty lunatics. Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary Ermacgerd Longplays 2024-09-03 | Longplay of Warpath, a 2006 Sci-fi First Person Shooter, a spiritual "successor" to Pariah (2005) by the same devs, but changed to an unrelated story after Pariah flopped, it was supposed to be its sequel. Developed by Digital Extremes, and released in July 2006 for the OG Xbox as a exclusive, and then in March 2007 on the PC. It is basically a clone of Unreal Tournament 2004, it's Unreal Engine 2, it's single player here is almost non-existant, it's just several multiplayer maps with modes like TDM and CTF, with you and the bots only. Here played on an original Xbox hardware, at 480p and 16:9 widescreen mode, recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.What the fuck were they thinking with that last boss fight? Like, who tested this shit? What's the counterplay, what's the tactic???? Anyway, that sucked balls, but at least it was sort of different than just MP maps cloned.The (?) in the title is due to the game being what it is - a glorified bot-match on several maps, with some small elements of the plot showing up between the maps and what not. But, it definitely is NOT a singleplayer game at heart, it's a heavily multiplayer one, focused on Xbox Live. Admiteddly, Pariah (2005) was a financial disaster, and Warpath was released as a budget title, with low price for the time. Sooo, it kind of makes sense for it to be... lacking in real content? It was released by the infamous Groove Games too, the almighty publisher of almighty shitty budget games.There is a storyline. You can select from one of three races fighting for the control of a beautiful, resource-rich planet named Kaladi. The Ohm are a cyborg-like race that need the planet's resources to live. The House of Kovos are robots that want to take control of Kaladi because their religion says that they should. The Human Coalition is a group of homeless humans that are trying to find a home.In the singleplayer game, each arena is connected by a turn-based, Risk-style minigame. There's a zone for each side of the war, each with five arenas, for a total of 15 arenas. When it's your turn, you can choose an arena to attack that's owned by either of the other two sides. When you attack, the other side will try to defend the arena. If you win, you take control of that arena. If you win an attack on certain arenas, you can unlock a new weapon in the game. If you have control of all 15 arenas, you get to play a surprise "boss" arena.Warpath's weapons and healing tool are also upgradeable. In singleplayer, you get skill-based weapon upgrades between levels. Developed by Starbreeze, on their own Union Engine (Chronicles of Riddick, Payday 2 etc.), released in February 2012 for the PC, X360, and PS3. This here is the PC version of the game, latest version available before it was removed from all the digital stores, running at 4K60 resolution at the highest possible settings. Recorded at 4K60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.NOTE: The resolution of the game is ultra high, and the UI unfortunately doesn't scale with the resolution, the game wouldn't really run with dgVoodoo to fix that UI scaling, soooo the text and subtitles will stay miniature in size im afraid.===============================================================================About the PC version - what can I say, pretty good looking, well-running, and... completely unavailable online or offline (because cd keys and used physical copies dont go well together). It pushes the assets and textures to much higher resolutions than the console versions, while still looking very good for the time, with not much technical issues, ASIDE from weird mouse acceleration/smoothness thingie which I couldn't turn on in-game or in the config, sooo my aiming is a little weird here. Half-Moon difficulty (Normal basically), with Quicksave feature ENABLED, because nope, playing it with limited amount of/location based saves is a nightmare and a chore, causing huge amount of backtracking and frustration, that does not fit in with Stealth genre whatsoever. (says me, a fan of the genre) 08/2024 Early Access state - whole tavern done, whole Market District done, first half of the Underport District done, second half I guess is supposed to land within a month from now? Here it is, an NTSC version with an UNDUB patch by "emuler", played on a PCSX2 2.0 (latest update), at 3584x3136 resolution (much above 4K), with 4x RGSSAA (PCSX2's internal supersampling "shader" option), 16x Anisotropic Filtering, Vulkan renderer, Widescreen hack, and an Anti-Blur fix enabled (Skip Draw Range to -1 in Hardware Fixes). No working 60 fps hack to be found, game locked to 30 FPS with 180% Overclock. Finally, recorded at 4K30 H.265 HEVC via OBS, at high bitrate.==============================================================================What does the UNDUB patch do here? It brings back the NTSC-J models of the characters, deblondefies them. And I mean it - NTSC/PAL versions just make every second character blonde. Brings back the japanese dubbing of the characters, instead of NTSC/PAL's cheesy Resident Evil-like dialogs. And that's it, all it does.What does the UNDUB patch NOT do here? That's what comes to my mind at first, and stays forever. There was never a game of this sort, of this idea - a semi-realistic simulator of natural disasters occuring in a big city, linked together with human misery, tragedy, drama and conspiracies on the highest level of the city administration/government. All glued together by a gargantuan scale levels, with many high-rise buildings both close and far away from the camera. ALTHOUGH - it's also, compared to the next games in the series, empty and sterile. Sure, Japan might seem sterile to some people, but here, clearly this was done to save some performance and what not, it looks like there should have been many more debrie/trash lying around. So - huge, imposing, but ultimately quite empty and sterile world. Graphically - the "Haze Blur" effect is horrible, HORRIBLE - don't know why it was included, for what, idk about that (here it is disabled). 30 FPS is fine for a slow-paced game like this. Audio - japanese dialogs sound great, music is very fine, BUT WHEN IT ACTUALLY PLAYS. See, the issue here - often no audio plays at all, it's just our heroes' footsteps, maybe some wind. Just a weird silence throughout the game. It is NOT a bug, or emulation's issue, that's how the game plays out. So, empty spaces and almost no audio - kind of meh, right? Controls are fiddly, weird, and can lead to your death very fast. There is a very good checkpoint/load system though, you won't need to lose much time, which is great. After defeating the police and rescuing Original Cindy, Max goes to meet her friend and ally, cyber-journalist Logan Cale at his apartment. Outside the apartment complex she defeats an I Corporation genetically engineered boss character named Beetle. Meanwhile, a cloaked figure murders a police officer at the scene and steals his vehicle. Logan informs Max that he has received an email from someone named Sylan who claims that Max has a twin sister. He traces the email to an I Corporation research lab named Tritech. Deus Ex had many singleplayer mods released, but the most renowned/biggest are mostly called "total conversion" or just "mod", while the ones I will be releasing as "Deus Ex Missions" are the single missions, small, pretty good or pretty bad, buggy, never dubbed, and almost ALWAYS - unfinished, with no continuations released, no Part Twos, nothing. They exist and were released as it is,, with very low production values and pretty primitive story/level design, 3-4 different maps at most. I might release them just one per video, two per video, or even three per video if they are short enough. Are they still interesting enough for me, and probably You, to take a look at EVERY one of them that can still be found? You bet. :)The ANT Agenda - no synopsis/background lore on the mission was provided in the readme included with the mod, here is what the modDB uploader Benjimable had to say: "You have been asked to investigate a Software company and find out what they are hiding and developing. You must find the Decrypt Unit on a Computer Terminal somewhere in the Building. The building itself is heavily guarded with a number of snipers, soldiers and military bots guarding the perimeter.", But it also seems to me that it's quite perfectly clear what it's about, due to the wonderful addition of an english dubbing in this mod, with a heavy german accent. :D ALSO, this is the ONLY "Deus Ex Missions" mission that had an actual custom-made dubbing as far as I know. Nobody Wants to Die (2024) | Noir-Cyberpunk | 1440p60 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary Ermacgerd Longplays 2024-07-24 | Longplay of Nobody Wants to Die, an FPP Detective-Adventure game, with strong neo-noir and cyberpunk themes. It was developed by a Polish dev Critical Hit Studios, and this is their debut game. The closest other game I could think of would Bloober's Observer. It was released on 17th July 2024 for the PC, PS5, and Series X/S, this here being the Series X version of the game, running on Unreal Engine 5, at a "Favor Performance" mode, which seems to be something like 800p (I didn't count tho) reconstructed to 1440p or something higher via FSR2, targeting 60 fps and locking to it about 90% of the time, pretty good. Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS. I ended up with the "very bad" ending, out of: good, bad, very bad, terrible ending. So, a Rainbow Six in everything but name. It was developed by Argonaut Games (who went defunct soon after releasing this), and released in October/December 2003 for the PS2 and Xbox only. This here being the Xbox version, running at a native widescreen (with HUD elements stretched, like in Halo 2 and Half Life 2 for example), at a 480p display mode. Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.So... Rainbow Six 3 at home for the poor... but it released at the EXACT SAME TIME as Rainbow Six 3 on Xbox... So, it couldn't have been copypasting, they were being developed at the same time. Except, well, Rainbow Six 3 turned out great, this one here is a 7/10 as per my rating. Above average, but tactical options are irrelevant/nonexistent. English Translation was made by grundo1561 and his team, I presume. Here it is, played on Duckstation, with rendering resolution set at 3840x2880 (4K 4:3), using PGXP correction, and Downsampled (3D only, 2D was omitted) into a lower resolution, since I thought it looked much better downsampled. Used CPU overclock to force the game to run in a near locked 60 fps framerate. It's completely japanese. And I mean the design, the idea. No voice actors, only text. xD First things first - it's an open world, on PS1. And yes, as predicted, It runs and looks TERRIBLY, ABSOLUTE DOGSHITE. It's one of the worst looking PS1 titles I've seen in my life, but, I guess this kind of makes sense, with the relatively big open world theme. Emulation helped immensely with all that, here it runs at almost locked 60 fps, very short loadings, and an "okay" visual quality, with downsampling. Music is also completely weird. You can ride buses, ride the metro, go by your car, go on your foot, go to shops to eat something, go to the hospital to get healed, go to the chiropractor, just go chill in your office, whatever. It's also kind of an RPG, you level up the weapons with each use, and there are many weapons, more advanced unlocked when you hit a specific level of the character. I haven't really figured out how it works. xDAnd yes, I was using some kind of exploit/cheat included in Duckstation for this game, it made my health infinite, somewhat. Why? Because without it, I died on the first enemy in the game about 10 times, in 3 hits always. Combat is reaaaal bad and janky, and difficulty I found to be absolutely insane in the early game. But still, I have actually died, right at the end of the game? Soooo...Also, I admit - I didn't venture everywhere possible in this recording. According to the fan-made wiki of this game, there are some side characters that matter somehwat, but I haven't even met them, they are completely optional. I didn't get to the "crater", on the center northern part of the city, didn't visit the closest house to that crater, didn't meet the guy there, didn't go to the dinner at the hotel with that "high school love" Naomi girl, lots of things missed. And well, I kind of wanted to focus on finishing this game, and so I did.So, what would I rate this game? I rated it 4,5/10, an honest rating. Now, don't get swayed by my rating - this game is not a good game, it is not even average. Instead, it's ultra interesting, innovative, weird, and confusing. It's just one of those hugely obscure, massively ambitious japanese-only titles, that are not well made technically and gameplay wise, but still do have something going on for them. Well, how often do you see an open world PS1 game, AND FPP AT THAT? Hydrophobia: Prophecy (2011) | PC 1440p60 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary Ermacgerd Longplays 2024-07-05 | Longplay of Hydrophobia: Prophecy (it is NOT Hydrophobia, this here is an "enhanced edition", released on different platforms), a 2011 action-adventure game with the water and underwater as its main themes, with elements of action, puzzles, and platforming. It was released in May 2011 for PC, and then in November 2011 for the PS3, as an enhanced edition of Hydrophobia (which released on x360 ONLY). This here is the Steam version of the game, played at 2560x1440 resolution, highest possible settings. Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.So, what's different about "Prophecy" compared to the original from year earlier? First and foremost - it has an ending, an actual ending, with a boss fight. :D Supposedly 70% of the levels were completely reworked (I don't really believe that), mechanics improved/changed, cover system especially, and expanded storyline. They called it Hydrophobia 1.5. Well, it's still a 2-3 hour game, very cheap, and... quite okay I'd say, I rated it 6,5/10, the original got 6/10. So, there is definite progress, but not enough to call this product "complete", it's still a glorified tech demo. The game is set in the mid 21st century when the world has fallen into the chaos of the "Great Population Flood", and takes place aboard the Queen of the World, a city-sized luxury ocean vessel built by a group of corporate giants known as the Five Founding Fathers who, due to the QOTW, have prospered while the rest of the world suffered. At the beginning of the game, the craft is bombed by a group of fanatical terrorists known as the Malthusians, named after political economist Thomas Malthus who predicted that population growth would one day outpace agricultural production, returning society to a subsistent level of existence. The Malthusians have a plan to murder the majority of humans on the planet, so that the survivors wouldn't suffer from the effects of the population explosion. Their slogans, including "Save the World - K*ll Yourself", are written on the walls and displayed on computer screens all over the ship. Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS, except for 4:55h till the end, that was my side recording at ultra low quality so it doesn't crush my pc.This was me trying my best on Professional difficulty, using my tactics I've know for like 18 years now, but they were used at lower difficulties generally, not on the highest one, and sooo lots of fails and restarts ensued. So, YES, THIS ISN'T A TURBO SUPER DUPER RUN, this is me, a normal guy doing his best, sometimes trolling, and failing often, not a guide or anything. It was not long before she was noticed by the Secret Service, as she was beautiful, athletic, and had great attention to detail. She was soon recruited into Secret Intelligence Service during Britain's darkest hours. Violette had lost an aunt during one of the first Luftwaffe bombing attacks, and to further compound her heartache, she later lost her Royal Air Force husband in battle. The game itself works like a demo of Shenmue, featuring Dobuita, a town in Yokosuka, although not all of it is accessible. You play as Ryo Hazuki much like you would in the full game. Do note, my RTX 3060 got CHOKED hard during recording this, clearly unoptimized game, framerate sometimes went down into the 30s.Here I show 2 out of 3 endings, since they were the only ones I was able to. And no, they are not Good endings, the Good Ending was not achieved here, since the only way to obtain it, is to NOT PICK UP a certain item, about 30-45 minutes before the final choice. If you pick it up, and save afterwards, like I did, then you're locked with just Bad/Very Bad ending. Played on Normal for some time, then I think I changed it to Easy, since this game gets ultra sweaty and annoying after some point. xDOne of the changes to the plot of the video game is the absence of the villainous organisation SPECTRE, who played a vital role in the film. Due to legal issues that had plagued the James Bond film series since 1963, the organization was renamed "OCTOPUS" and appears to lack a central leader in the same vein as Ernst Stavro Blofeld. The SPECTRE name was tied up in a long-running dispute over the film rights to Thunderball, between United Artists/MGM and the now-deceased writer Kevin McClory.The game begins with a pre-title sequence in which Elizabeth Stark, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom's daughter, is kidnapped by OCTOPUS while attending a party. Bond was assigned to attend the party for just such an event, and he defeats OCTOPUS and rescues Miss Stark.Similar to the film, OCTOPUS has conceived a plan to embarrass British secret service agent 007 for the death of Dr. Julius No from the film Dr. No, in which No was an agent of SPECTRE. The plan involves the theft of a Soviet encoding machine known as the Lektor with the help of a defecting Soviet agent, Tatiana Romanova. However, Romanova is being used by OCTOPUS to lure James Bond into a trap; their ultimate goal is to let him obtain the Lektor and then ambush him for it, killing him in a humiliating fashion as well. Romanova is sent by Rosa Klebb, an agent of the KGB (in both the novel and film, an agent of SMERSH) who has secretly defected to OCTOPUS. Her immediate subordinate, Donald "Red" Grant, protects Bond through the first half of the game and attacks him in the second.
