We initially planned to include a lake walk, but it was closed for the Chinese Lantern Festival, and the weather was turning gloomy post-rain. Walking North Carolina Neighborhoods in the Rain and Wind | Nature Sounds for Sleep and Study Relaxing Walks 2023-10-05 | Join us for an evening walk through the gusty winds and rain of Tropical Storm Ophelia in Raleigh, North Carolina. Though we're safely away from the coast, the 15 mph winds gusts tested my strength and skills, trying to snatch the umbrella from my hand and challenging me to shield both the camera from rain and mics from the wind. On top of that, my new Garmin fenix 7 had a misconfiguration, with the screen dimming until I flicked my wrist, making navigation tough. At one point, you might notice my wife, who was out of frame and can't be seen, taking over umbrella duty so I could troubleshoot. We had to wrap up the walk earlier than planned due to the fading daylight and the challenge of manual camera focusing with no free hands.
