In 1994, the Community Outreach Project made this short film in response to the press reports of riots by young people on the streets of Craigmillar.
Local people remember at the time, journalists from certain tabloid newspapers filling abandoned shopping trolleys with bricks and rubble and staging photographs, encouraging the kids to riot, the real reasons for the unrest at the time was forgotten by the sensationalist reporting by the newspaper media. This short film was made to try and redress the balance of all the negativity surrounding the events and to try and show that there was a lot more good happening in the community than was reported at the time.
