If you’re the kind of person that relishes seeing your crochet project grow in minutes, you’ll love this Corner-to-Corner or C2C method of working.
Sets of three chains and three treble crochets are connected top to side, building up a triangle of basketweave type blocks that expands in minutes with very little effort. Starting in one corner you simply crochet your blocks, flip over your work, and join them together with a slip stitch before starting the next block with a chain of three and working the trebles into the side of the block below. When your work is the desired size it’s an easy matter to slip stitch along the side of the block below to create another corner and start your decreases.
Working smaller or larger sets of trebles allows you to create a lighter weight throw or a plush blanket to snuggle up with on the sofa. You could even crochet this method in a chunky Aran weight yarn to make a soft rug for your living space.
