In late July of 2008, The Southern New England O Scale Model Railroad Club sponsored the Annual National O Scale Convention in Worcester, Massachusetts at The DCU Center. Also, the convention was celebrating its 40th anniversary year which made it of very special model railroad event. There were lots of O scale layouts featuring different verities of trains running including The North Shore Line's Electroliner, an I-5 class streamlined hudson of the New Haven pulling a passenger train, a C&O allegheny pulling a coal drag, an On30 layout resembling a fictional narrow gauge New England narrow gauge railroad from the turn of the century & even O scale trolleys running from scale electric overhead wires. What a convention!! What an event!!
