To celebrate humanity's return to the moon, we took some synthesizers (only two, the TR8s drum machine, and the Quadrantid Swarm) along to play a rave to the inhabitants... here was our challenge prompt:"You have just landed on the moon again....and find you are not alone!Due to the small area in the space craft, you were only allowed 2 instruments... (Or 2 rows of modular😝)You are also restricted by oxygen meaning that your jam can not take longer than an hour to make and film!Its important to make friends with the aliens because you have noticed they have already have collected junk that the earth has sent their way n are constructing a weapon for earths doom!5 mins you have to impress them we are worth saving!"So i started jamming at 142BPM on the swarm and TR8s for five mins, then started recording... We won't discuss how we actually managed to broadcast sound in a vacuum. Jamming with the Yamaha Reface YC (no talking) Jonathan R Cross 2024-01-08 | Just got the Yamaha Reface YC (Combo organ), and it's all I hoped it would be! My main desire was for a Hammond-type sound with good leslie speaker simulation. And I've been eying up the Reface YC ever since I first saw/heard it. I defo wasn't disappointed. It also has distortion, reverb and also percussion and vibrato and chorus. So here's a collection of my initial jams with it, definitely awesome fun!
