How to stop DROWNING in backgrounds Cindyellen Robinson 2024-06-03 | hello Hello hELLO!!I took a WONDERFUL class by Justine Hovey this weekend, called Fearless Cardmaking in Minutes, which fits right in with this video. I happen to be one of her subscribers? patreons? VIPS? (I can't remember what she calls them) and I know the class is now available to me FOR FREE (oh the wonders of VIP status!!) and I really recommend it, whether you're a VIP or not. This class was not about a specific technique, but more about learning to put the fun back into card-making, how to stop OVERTHINKING everything and Just Do It. I love the fact that her brand (available on Craftstash) is called It's Just Paper. How often we forget that. ANYWAY, this video was actually already in the works. I had sat down and thought, "what am I gonna make?" and realized that my "almost done" box was OVERFLOWING ONTO THE FLOOR. And hence the focus of this video. That means I am experiencing fatigue (like you have the flu fatigue), fevers, nerve pain, an inability to walk without a cane, fatigue, lack of appetite, numbness and tingling in all my extremeties, migraines and did I mention fatigue? Mostly the fatigue comes from my body trying to fight off my illness on its own. A;ll this leads to not much going on in the craftroom. Cuz sleeping. Blessings to you all.

And it's a very interesting set I used from Honey Bee Stamps. Half of our family is Christian, half is Jewish. We have our own traditions, involving menorahs, dreidels and . . . latkes, not sufganiyot (the hebrew word for jelly donuts. well, not really jelly donuts, sort of a cross between crossaints and beignets). Anyway, this set has sufganiyot. So I made them that way. I hope you enjoy the set. I also want you to know that, in listening back, that was The Worst description of the dreidel game I've ever made. The big important part I missed was, the letters on the dreidel (Nun, Gimel, Hey, Shin) stand for "A great miracle happened here." Which is WHY we play an old German gambling game on Hannukah. So, I put it down to lack of coffee. And, at the end, you get a short view of what it's like to have Pippin "help" me craft. Yeah, that. #Christmas365 September: An Advent Calendar Cindyellen Robinson 2022-09-30 | Welcome back to my channel!This. . .is a huge project. It takes a lot of cardboard, a lot of PVA glue, and a lot of patterned paper. The cool thing is, it is NOT a Christmas card, so if you are looking for something else to make that your family is likely to keep for years, this is it. I got the basic pattern from Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Crafts. She's an English crafter with her own line of stamps and dies (which she didn't have when I started following her) and a phenomenal imagination. I adapted mine a bit, because hers only had 24 boxes and I wanted mine to have 25. So, instead of reproducing the third row once for the stem, I reproduced the second row twice for my stem. Other differences: I put cardboard on the back of mine, and added a wire hanger. Also, I made mine from condensed cardboard (still 1/8" thick) instead of greyboard. I hope all that makes sense. I tried to make a process video, but between Hurricane Ian knocking out internet and my old computer, that didn't happen. I don't know but I'm working on finding out! I'm going to a retreat at the end of this month and I'm in charge of the "love notes" (cards people can write to each other to send happy messages). In honor of this, I took one of my pads, that was seeing better days, took aaaaallll the cut-aparts and just went to town. 45 cards later. . .I'm still going. Even though they are based on a 6x6 piece of paper, you can STILL USE some of your 12x12 stock - you just have to cut it down. That's what I did today. I bought the Recollections paper pad Tropical Vacation as a Hot Buy. What can I say? It was in the aisle; it was a deal; it had parrots on it. The problem is, it then sits in your stash forever if you don't USE IT. So, I'm on a mission to use up paper pads bits and bobs. Kendra's challenges are PERFECT for this.
