We explore the presuppositional issues, the context of the Olivet Discourse, and the three main views for what "this generation" could refer to.

But what did early Christians believe about the second coming? In this video, we analyze the Didache, one of the earliest Christian documents we have outside of Scripture. We discuss the Didache's teachings about the end times and how this is significant evidence against the preterist position.

00:00 What the Didache Says about the Lord's Return 03:45 Why the Didache is Incompatible with Preterism 08:40 The Importance of Looking Ahead to Christ's ReturnWhy Most Translations are Wrong on Deut 4:29 and Why It MattersThe Bible Sojourner2025-01-03 | In this video, we dive into a fun discussion of Deuteronomy 4:29 and talk about why many English translations may be getting this verse wrong! Instead of reading this verse as a purely conditional “if,” we’ll explore the compelling evidence that it should be understood as a statement of certainty—a prophetic guarantee that Israel will seek and find God. From Hebrew grammar to parallel passages and the Greek Septuagint, we’ll show how shifting from “if” to “when” or “because” transforms our understanding of this pivotal prophetic passage.
But this isn’t just a nerdy grammar study—there’s a rich theological payoff too! By recognizing the verse’s prophetic certainty, we see a powerful thread running throughout Deuteronomy: though rebellion and exile will come, restoration is just as sure. We discuss what this verse means for our eschatology and why it underscores God’s unwavering faithfulness to His people.

Preterists often point to the temple as key evidence for their view, claiming it supports a pre-AD 70 dating of Revelation. In this video, we examine the four main interpretations of the temple in Revelation 11, explore what it reveals about the timing of the book, and evaluate whether the preterist argument holds up. If you’re exploring Preterism, Revelation, or end-times prophecy, you will want to think through this issue.

’Twas the night of good study, and all through the land, Faithful believers had their Bibles in hand; They treasured the Word with keen, watchful eyes, Determined to read it with no compromise.
Within that night’s study, three figures emerged, Each armed with convictions the text had stirred; The Amillennialist spoke softly: “The Kingdom is here, No physical throne—the spiritual we cheer.”
The Postmillennialist arose, and proudly declared, “We’ll usher in peace—through progress prepared; The world shall improve with our King on His throne— A splendid tomorrow, this is what’s known!”
The Premillennialist smiled, and faced all his fears, “The text is quite plain: it says a thousand years; Christ will return to reign on the earth— A literal Kingdom, a grand second birth!”
At once came some teasing, lighthearted but fun: “Your notion, though clever, leaves so much undone. The prophetic timeline, we can't plainly define— Your ‘Futurist’ approach leaves too much behind.”
But he smiled in reply, “So bright are your dreams! But scanning the headlines, it’s not as it seems; Your ‘golden tomorrow’ may need more than zeal— Just watch how the nations continue to reel.”
He then continued, “Let Scripture be clear— No twisting its meaning, no doubts interfere; The future is certain, as prophets foresaw, A literal Kingdom fulfilling God’s law.”
Then a preacher spoke up, with calm on his face: “I think we must all read the text in its place; Observe every passage, each meaning in line— The literal sense is our most useful sign.
No labyrinth allegory, no hidden charade— The Word says it plainly, so don’t be dismayed! When read in devotion, with diligent care, God’s plan for the ages, is revealed there.”
So parted these students, each firm in their view, But the last one proclaimed, “Mine’s clearly most true!” As laughter arose and they bid all goodnight, They chuckled and said, “Let’s read Scripture aright!”
