Does an Omnipotent God Negate Free-Will? -Disproving Atheism 5thWatcher 2008-09-09 | I define free will as the ability to make a choice between two or more actions, and for that choice to be informed by more than just nature and nurture forces. Even if there are forces that limit your actions, if you still have a choice within that scope, I think that is still free will, and that is the definition my argument operates under. It is mainly defined by choice. I define choice as the ability to make an objective decision. To be able to see both sides without always having an emotional, cultural, etc, interference driving your decision. I would say we even have free will if these influences have less than total control over the decision making process. Description: First I show that if God is all knowing, that it does not mean we don't have free will. Then I point out the logical fallacy in justifying this flawed idea, in case getting proven wrong once is not enough for you. Then I go into what I would consider an aside about if we have free will or not outside of the context of God, since I know that will come up in response to this.
