Without preparing much at all, I levelled an ice trap trickster from level 1 to level 95 in 13 hours. And in this video, I'll explain everything. Let’s dive in. In the past, power levelling in PoE in SSF wasn't a real option. At least to my knowledge. You had levelling services in trade, which primarily meant you were taken into a 5-way legion farm, in exchange for a few divines. I never did that, back in the day, but to my knowledge, that's really all the power levelling that existed. Sure, some strategies give you more XP than others, very true. But generally, I feel 5-way legions, or maybe running breachstones with a group, were your options. The closest we got in SSF is I think solo running breach stones. I can't think of content that's more boring, honestly. This league, Necropolis, GGG introduced a few new fun things. Scarabs, Embers and Omens. And these have opened a whole new world. And for the record, I'm not claiming I came up with this strategy. I saw it in a YouTube short of Subtractem, who also included an atlas tree. I tried that out, tested a few things, changed a few more things, and was ultimately so impressed by my findings that I wanted to share this strategy with all of you. Instead, we’re using some of the new scarabs. Let’s dive in. In case you’re unaware, 8-mod corrupted maps are, well, maps that are corrupted and have 8 modifiers. The reason why these maps are considered valuable, is because they have a lot of item quantity, rarity and monster pack size. They’re also more difficult to run, because of all the mods, but typically, the pros outweigh the cons. Normally, you could attempt to get corrupted 8-mod maps by using an orb of alchemy, and then a vaal orb. But often, that only gets you 4 or 5 mods, which simply isn’t as good. Using this strategy, you guarantee 8 mods, due to the Cartography scarab of corruption, a common scarab. It’s sort of self-explanatory, and of course not suitable for ALL situations, but for most of them. For just blasting maps, this is great. Let me properly introduce this tree, because this tree is the result of a lot of experimenting. Those who’ve been recently watching my PoE SSF content have no doubt noticed I’m using mostly a different tree every time. And that’s fine, I pay a lot, I have the currency, no issues there. As I was experimenting with different strategies, I noticed I’m taking the same nodes, repeatedly. And at some point, I had 3 atlas passive trees which only differed in about 20 or 30 points. When trees are so similar, there is not much advantage to having them at all. So, I reconciled all three trees, taking generally good, all-purpose nodes, which fit in tons of different strategies. You won’t be able to self-sustain in terms of scarabs, most likely, but this is an atlas tree that works very well with many different scarabs. PoE Necropolis is SAVED - 3.24.0b Patch Notes TL:DR - LOG IN BOIS! Thyworm 2024-04-03 | It no longer costs one chaos orb to itemize a corpse. It’s now free. Also, multiple UI changes and QoL changes have been made to grave-crafting, like ctrl + click to cremate a corpse. You can now select the base type of your craft, which is huge Grave-crafting corpses like increased chance or item tier, now only have just 1 value, making it much easier to use Various corpses are buffed, for example you can now reforge an item 200 times to get max links, instead of 50 times. Another massive buff. 12 more allflames embers are added, and allflames across the board are buffed. For example, the ones that dropped splinters or fragments, now drop more. And more allflames drop overall. Devoted modifiers across the board have been massively buffed, and rare ones, such as those that convert armor into currency, now do this 100% of the time. Previously, that was like 2%. It will be raining currency after this patch. The most painful haunted modifiers have been nerfed, making monsters in maps and the campaign a lot easier to deal with. Several nasty ones have been completely removed, such as those removing flask charges. There was a new strategy emerging, Seer & Go, where you spam low level maps to proc the seer. That’s nerfed, as the seer won’t give many Tier 1 or 0 uniques below level 81. As it should. The map icon got buffed though, you will now see him on the minimap from further away Tier 17 maps can be modified by chaos orbs, thank God. In SSF, I could only run like 40% realistically, so this change is massive. T17 maps are also much more rewarding, by buffing quality and quantity on monsters. Pair that with the allflame buffs and these maps could be very fun to run real soon. There are multiple bug fixes too, but one stands out.
