The soundbank is very limited, so remixing the Final Boss Theme was surprisingly simple using General MIDI. Keywords keywords uhm yeah John Applause MIDI is my new best friend, he just chill and goated with the BlackShard like that wait John MIDI what are you doingTools used:- FL Studio (composing of MIDI, stem splitting for reference)- midis2jams2 (instrument visualization - literally)- videopad (editing the video)- me (i am the tool. my tools are useful)In-depth explanation as to why this doesnt sound like literally any other MIDI:The available sounds MIDI has are awful. However, there's some saving graces, mainly the Applause instrument. if you stack notes and pitch shift that instrument, you get a lot more versatility in sound than you usually would. Deluxe's overworld theme version for the funnyE - volume manipulation for the square lead for 0.005% extra accuracy6 - get people in the comments saying "it sounds bad" and get content ID'd, a.k.a profitnow here's some things i do have to saythat noise at the beginning is actually necessarythe seashore instrument rises in volume, then decreases. so to combat this, i start the square and triangle instruments later so i can keep switching the notes played for seashore and do volume shenanigans, i invite you to look at the midi because its really stupidthe noise at the end isn't necessary, i just want to close the song out in a funny waythe playback is only possible to be heard that scariyl accurate if you import the midi in FL Studio. so nyes, i partially cheated. call me dream the way i cheat with half-truthsdue to the way windows plays back MIDIs, it doesnt use some instruments supported by the format, so the "Square" instrument gets replaced with the "Square Wave" instrument and most of the illusion is lost. Most volume manipulation and instrument choice shenanigans make the song still sound eerily accurate though!!siivagunner please contact me, this would be one of the funniest high quality rips i beg (i dont i am just trying to add more things on this description)I plan to exploit this soundbank for the rest of my life. so don't expect shortage of stupidity with GS MIDI for the foreseeable future.
