I hope you enjoy my metal arrangement of Loud Youtubers by Jackfilms. I had a lot of fun doing this!
It's my first time doing something like this, but would love to do more in the future. Please feel free to give me any feedback! I want to get better at this stuff. I've been a fan of this kind of content for quite a while but never actually got to try it myself. And it was honestly very challenging!
So yeah, Secret Musician is super cool and I couldn't be happier with the person I got. Christian is probably one of the smartest and most skilled kids I've ever seen. With only 5 years old, this kid manages to upload incredible covers VERY frequently and it is just so inspiring. On top of that, he is an amazing friend! : )
I chose this game and this song because I know how much Christian loves it! And honestly I've never heard of this game so I listened to the whole soundtrack and this song is what stood out for me the most. There are so many layers, so many textures and CRAZY arpeggios playing and I love that so much!
After choosing the song I started to check what are some of Christian's favorite bands, BUT that kid has never listened to a band before, he only listens to VGM people ----what? So I had very little to work with. HOWEVER, I know he mentioned that he loves Paramore, and I can definitely hear some of their influence in his playing. I started to listen to Paramore for a whole week and got a lot of ideas and put them to work!
Considering the amount of crazy arpeggios that there are in this song I decided to merge it with Protest The Hero influences (my favorite band), and I'm pretty happy with the results!
The arrangement actually took me way longer than I thought it'd take me. Honestly this stuff is way out of my comfort zone. When it comes to pop punk I'm just completely clueless, nevertheless I tried my best and it was fuuuun!
One of my main issues was the transitions and the verses, I tried to follow the same Paramore structure of catchy intro riff, verse, chorus, cooler verse, chorus and so on. What made it so difficult is that since there are no vocals, the verses wont be as entertaining. I tried some syncopation stuff tho, sounded fun i hope you like that one !! second verse is prob my favorite riff, cause im using the intro melody but im chugging it you know but not only a chug its like a -chu-chug - chu-chug - chu-chug. man that sounds cool I really like that! thanks
So there are 10 mins left for this video to upload, and Im very tired, so i will just keep talking. I know I had 3 months to work on this cover Im sorry I procrastinated so much, but im addicted to rocket league, I REALLY love rocket league man, jesus christ what a game, i always play it with my best friends and I have an amazing time but boom there goes 3 hours of my day every day, but you know what, i didnt play rocket league yesterday, i worked 48 hours non stop on this cover, i know i had 3 months. stop sayin that to me christian please dont use caps. Ok 40 seconds left cool i can finally upload this i will sleep now !

AND THEY SAID BUYING A SLIDE WHISTLE WAS A STUPID IDEA!!!!
Welp, here's my first "acoustic" cover - not sure if I'm doing it right but I learnt a lot of stuff while doing this and it was actually really fun that I could get to just jam to one of my favorite and jazziest track from this amazing game. I also tried something i've never done which is tracking myself just jamming to a backing track instead of learning by heart like I'm used to, and it was honestly very refreshing.
Making this cover brought me way back when I used to just jam to backing tracks and spend hooours playing and coming up with guitar phrases. It was so cool, man. Now that I got this new guitar it motivated me so much to pick up my guitar and practice way more!
I hope you dig this kind of style! - I'm trying to balance out the dynamic of my covers so I just don't always make just metal and stuff.
I was also very inspired by my good friend Ryan Lafford :) - check out his channel he makes really cool acoustic stuff !! - http://bit.ly/2eLj8Pq
If you follow me on twitter you probably already know about my new guitar and how excited I am to have it!! It seriously plays soooo well and the tone is such an incredible difference compared to my old gio. Seriously I can finally hear my notes and chords I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. welp that was kinda intense!! The original song was already very heavy and I wanted to make it even heavier! This song was SUPER fun to record and perform, you have nooo idea, i love playing riffs like these! i wish I had a nylon string for that flamenco part, i think it'd have sound nicer! but my nylon gtr is back home :( - doing that kind of strumming on steel guitar is weeeeird. AND HURTS
Im still experimenting with lighting and I tried a different setups, theres some stuff that I didn't like that much but some that I did! Also the filming process was way faster than the previous video and less frustrating so that's very cool!
Also my studio is ALMOST done! - Im just waiting for blue fabric and finish off covering my panels and I think that would be it. Very excited about it!
So this is my second song for my earthbound month special thing :D

HEY I hope bass sounded good, I juuuust started playing bass! And I wanted to give myself a challenging song so I could get better and this theme was perfect for it! Seriously earthbound music is CRAZY and I love it so much! I recently finished the game and I am honestly obsessed with all the awesome music.
SOOOOOO. Expect at least 3 more Earthbound covers coming up in October! That's gonna be so fuuuun. I'm so excited to keep doing more earthbound stuff! :)
Also the process of filming in my room was actually way more complicated than I thought, haha. Took me so many tries to get a decent lighting! - I think I deleted all the footage like 2 times and started over. But next time should be easieeeerr MAYBE.
Anyways I hope you guys look forward to Earthbound month!!!! :D - - - GEAR:

ALRIGHT. That was incredibly fun to arrange and play. My goal when arranging this song is to make it sound as prog as possible and also be highly influenced by one of my favorite bands of all time, The Contortionist!
Also, for those of you that don't know - I graduated 3 weeks ago, and I've been moving to a new place! I am building a new studio and getting everything setup so I can be more active around here! So you guys can expect more and more videos like these! :)
Mangus did an incredible job at arranging the bass lines for this track!! I'm still mindblown with all the cool and interesting stuff he did for this one.
Also thanks to richaaaaadeb for the soooolo and inspiring me to make my covers more and more proggggg

I decided to try out just for fun how many times I can open REAPER while Pro Tools is still loading. Then I just highlighted some extra features that makes me love Reaper so much for a fast workflow!
For this example I am using Pro Tools 10 HD and REAPER 5.22.
I decided to compare it with Pro Tools, JUST FOR FUN. If your PT loads way faster than this, that's cool! I'm interested to know how much it takes for you to load. I also did some more tests with more classmates and teachers that own PT and they all load in about 20-30 seconds. Some of them way more than that and some of the way less. I'd say the time I got is a little bit over the average but that is not really the point I want to make in this video. I just want to highlight REAPER's startup time.
REAPER loads up so fast, it is crazy. And it is definitely one of my favorite things about it. Whenever I have an idea or I just want to make a quick edit or whatever. REAPER is going to be ready to go in less than one second. And that's so impressive to be honest. I have used many different DAWs in my life, and I have never seen one as fast and efficient as REAPER.
And hey, at the end. No one cares about the DAW you use. The only difference is how the DAW lets you go about it.

Reaper Tip #8: In this video I show you 4 reasons why the master playback rate in REAPER is such an useful tool for mixing, recording and sound design. I often use this slider for dialing BPM, sound design, practicing and tracking rough takes!
On top of all the stuff I mentioned, you can also use this for audio editing! Maybe short samples! Also, keep in mind that if you decide to track at a different playback rate, it is just not going to sound as natural as playing it at the original speed, so just use this method for rough tracks :)
ADDITIONALLY!!! - The huge advantage of working with MIDI is that no matter how much you change the rate, it is going to sound perfect anyways. Since it is not actually modifying the sound of the instrument, it is just taking less or more time to hit the note. So for example if you got MIDI drums loop, you can just play around with the slide and its going to sound great at any speed you set it up! Good stuff for just jamming, I love it.

Disable Show multiple row of tracks when size permits (right click the MCP master) 5. Enable Scroll view when tracks activated (right click the MCP master) 2. Set desired default track layout in Screensets/Layout (from the View menu) (I personally find the Sidebar layout from the default theme best for this) 3. Set mixer's size so it's the same as single track width 7. Save as window screenset so all the settings you just set get preserved

Reaper Tip #5: Now your tracks, markers, and regions can be auto colored with the amazing SWS extension feature. Not only you can set the colors, you can also set icons, layouts, and many other possibilities that would make your workflow way faster.
Reaper tips is a series of short tutorial clips where I show you some of my favorite Reaper tricks.
Skip to:
Demo: 0:11 Setup: 0:54
✔ Setup:
1. Download and install the SWS extension: http://bit.ly/1ZPsrxD 2. Open Reaper 3. In the extension drop down menu, select Auto Color/Icon/Layout 4. Click options, and enable all options you need. (auto track coloring, auto track icon…)
✔ To auto-color/icon tracks: 1. Click add rule 2. Double click where it says “(name)" and put the name of the track you want to set the color of. 3. Right click right next to it where it says “none", click set color, and choose a color for the track. 4. Put an icon by right clicking in the empty space in the color column.
✔ To make children tracks same color as parent: 1. Click add rule 2. Right click where it says (name) 3. Select (children) 4. Right click where it says “none” in the color column and select “parent"
✔ To auto-color master track: 1. Click add rule 2. Right click where it says (name) 3. Select (master) 4. Right click right next to it where it says “none", click set color, and choose a color for the track.
✔ To auto-color regions: 1. Click add rule 2. Right click where it says “track” 3. Select “region” 4. Double click where it says “(name)" and put the name of the region you want to set the color of. 5. Right click right next to it where it says “none", click set color, and choose a color for the region.
✔ Keep in mind:
The auto coloring list is ordered by priority and you can see the numbers in the first column. The smaller the number the highest priority. For example, if you have “Guitar” set to yellow #1 in your list, and “Acoustic Guitar” set to red #2 in your list. It is going to color the track according to the color with higher priority. In this case just drag up your “Acoustic Guitar” in the list making it higher priority than the “Guitar” track. So tracks named Acoustic Guitar are going to be red but tracks just named Guitar are going to be colored yellow.
Feel free to get creative and find other cool stuff you can do! You can go even more in depth and even set layouts for each track. Let me know if you come up with another cool idea for this, I really love this thing!Instant Reverb Swell | Reaper Tips #4AHmusic2016-05-14 | Hey! Reaper Tip #4: Make your mixes more interesting with this reverse reverb trick. You can instantly make a reverb swell to your items in just one click!
Reaper tips is a series of short tutorial clips where I show you some of my favorite Reaper tricks.
Skip to: 0:28 Demo 1:12 Setup 3:30 Customize your own reverb settings
2. Go to Reaper 3. In the drop down menu, go to Options then "Show Reaper resource path”
4. Now move these files from the Swell Folder you just downloaded to the Reaper resource path you just opened: -Drag “Swell.ReaperKeyMap” to the “Keymap” folder in Reaper -Drag “01.RTrackTemplate” to the “Track Template” folder in Reaper
5. Install the SWS extension: Mac: drag the reaper_sws_extension.dylib to the “User Plugin” folder in reaper. Windows: Run the installation and find your reaper resource path.
6. Close and reopen Reaper 7. In the drop down menu, go to actions/ show action list 8. Click import 9. Go to the keymap folder and click the swell file that we just put there and click open. 10. In the filter of your actions list, type “swell” 11. Right click on your toolbar and click customize toolbar 12. Press “add” and find your swell action and press “select” 13. On the toolbar window, click save and close. 14. In the drop down menu, go to preferences and find the media tab. 15. In the “take FX tail length” box, type “2000” and press OK.
✔ How to use it: 1. Find the first vowel of the phrase and make a small selection. 2. Press the “swell button”
✔ How to customize your own reverb settings: 1. Right click on a blank space where the tracks are 2. Insert track from template and load the one named “01” 3. Open the FX of the track and tweak these reverb settings to your liking. 4. You can also delete ReaVerbate and use your own Reverb 5. Try to have dry 30%-40% dry signal OR 70-80% mix so the transition is smoother. 6. Right click on the track with your reverb settings and click on “save track as a track template” 7. Save it into the track templates folder and name it “01” and it is going to replace the old file.
**IF IT DOESN'T WORK** 1. Check all of the steps carefully! 2. Do not put your audio file too close to the beginning of the session since there is not going to be a space for the swell render. 3. Ask me in the comments, I will reply within few minutes!
Reaper Tip #3: Super fast method for double tracking electric guitars in Reaper. This also applies to any other instrument and it could be used for quad tracking and more.
Reaper tips is a series of short tutorial clips where I show you some of my favorite Reaper tricks.
After recording guitars for so long in Reaper, I've often found myself very frustrated when I have to stop recording, delete, play, record over and over. This method takes me away from having to do any of this and just focus on the groove of the song. Also, it helps you get in the timing better because you don't have to stop at any point.
✔ Steps: 1. Make two or more tracks. 2. Arm these tracks to record. 3. Make a time selection where you want to track your instrument. 4. Enable looping by pressing "R" 5. Hit record and track as many times as you want. 6. Select the best takes for each track.
✔ Suggestions:
- NEVER have the same take playing at the same time. It is going to sound mono.
- In Preferences/Loop Recording: You can set a threshold to discard incomplete takes so you don't have blank takes every time. For example if I had this enabled, the take #3 that is blank in 1:27 would've been inexistent.
- Having troubles with takes going over each other? Make a new track and use it as a subfolder and track there. It's gonna still go through your amp and you don't have to load another instance of your amp.
- You can commit to a take and delete the others by pressing shift + alt + T
- Also, in Preferences/Audio/Recording - Uncheck the two boxes for "prompt save/delete/rename files" - that stuff is annoying.
Enjoy!

So, I've been getting a lot of requests lately on starting a Reaper tutorial series. And this is honestly something that I have been wanting to do for a while and I am very happy that it is finally happening. Also, it was one of my Patreon milestones, so yay! Thank you so much for your support. :D
Please feel free to make any suggestion to make my tutorials better. Don't hesitate to ask me any question, I will gladly help you!
As soon as I heard this song I knew this was the one for me. All these transitions and the whole potential that I could have to make the weirdest sections, I just couldn’t miss it.
You get my usual metal type of arrangements blended with some very experimental parts. And honestly I have never had so much fun arranging a cover.
Recording and sampling all my bicycle, kitchen and household items was fun. But sooooo time consuming. I also asked people on Facebook for dogs as you can see. THEY ARE ALL SO ADORABLE. I went to my friends house and we trained his dog so he could play the keyboard for the main melody!
There is just so many things that happened during the making of this cover, I would love to make a Vlog on it and show all the outtakes and rants, it is sincerely my biggest and funniest project so far,
Anyways, wish you all an awesome year 2016 and I hope you stick around since I am planning to release way more covers and more frequently!
Please share this video, subscribe if you haven't already and look forward to see you guys later! :)

*excuse my stupid timing, also, for some reason the screen capture software made the cymbals (specially the hi-hat) sound very weird. It is not like that in the app.
Here is an app where you can Djent on the song from Zelda Ocarina of Time - Deku Tree.
The application basically consists on a loop drum playing just cymbals and snare in the background, and different one bar long samples that consist of bass, kick drum, and guitar riffs.
With the keyboard or your mouse you can choose to play between 11 different riffs, choose four different drum loops, and layer up to 5 tracks for orchestration of the melody.
So I have been working on this app for about month and a half and it is still a work in progress. I am still adding new features and stuff that would make it even more interesting like: - Selecting different packets of songs. - A guitar hero mode where you have to play to the beat otherwise it will make the classic harmonic guitar sound when you mess up. Yea, there you go, I covered Ocarina Of Time music... I have gotten a lot of requests throughout these months to make an OoT cover and it is honestly very challenging and scary to mess around such music since it is so over covered and popular. I went super experimental with this one and tried my best to make it sound unique and different than the others.
One of the experimentations I did was to make several transition in scales, starting off with diminished scale, then harmonic minor, then melodic minor, followed by minor then a transition to major to major melodic. It was fun to see how my song was turning into super evil sounding to complete emotional cheesiness, haha.
I had a lot of fun also sound designing that weird sound that is in the original soundtrack grabbing a burger king cup and a straw since I couldn't find any good samples online! HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY SPECTACULAR RENDITION OF JERKING A CUP.
Also, this cover is kind of special! My good friends from the vgm community came up with a really cool idea of doing a "secret musician", kind of like a secret santa but with covers as our gifts! I had the pleasure of working on this cover for my friend Dylan (ShakeElite). He loves OoT and I decided to finally make an OoT for this occasion :)
Also, I counted with the help of my good friend Mangus Steed, who helped me not only tracking bass, also shooting the video! He is going to be uploading video game covers soon, and they are going to be awesome!
Sun Sentinels is a 3D tower defense game, featuring optical illusion puzzles, traps, spells, level editing and Egyptian mythology.
As a recent member of WOS Games I had the honor to collaborate with composing the music for a couple of temples in the game.
Being my first take on Egyptian music, I would say this is the most challenging task I have taken so far. I did a lot of research on Egyptian culture and mythology to have a better approach to represent the vibe of the different locations and gods that appear in the game.
Most of the percussion, the different textures/sparks and impacts throughout the song were recorded just using household items. A lot of field recording was involved in this project and it was great fun. I also experimented with some throat singing and made different layers that really helped a lot setting the vibe!
-----------------------
Thanks to my friend Brandon for helping me master the first track! :)
This is a side school game project where I was in charge of composing 5 different tracks and sound design around 20 various sound effects.
Luminescence is a top-down dungeon-crawler in which the player uses light to assail, ensnare, and otherwise obliterate Morrius and his dark minions. The Player has a light aura that is used to cut through the fog of war, cast magical spells, and keep him from being consumed by darkness.
The game being truly dark and obscure by itself, I tried to approach the same feeling with the music. For the stage one track it was mostly all sound designed recording various household items percussions and also my own voice. I had a lot of fun because I had the opportunity to focus more on ambience tones rather than melodies.
-----------------------
Welp, once again here is some more original stuff that I have been working on. This is actually one of the first games I've made the music for and it was a lot of fun! I truly enjoyed composing ambient stuff like this and I learnt a lot of things along the way.
Thanks to all of you interested in my original side, I have more stuff and way better than this (this being rather old and I was kinda unexperienced) and I will upload them eventually. Hope you guys look forward to it. n_n

There Once Was… is a 2D Side-Scrolling Typing Game. The overarching goal of this game is to teach young students how to type correctly, the first time. without boring them to death. At the same time There Once Was… is a storytelling game that attempts to create a story to simulate practical application of the typing skills they will use in the real world.
Since it is a typing-fantasy type of game and the target audience is mainly kids, my approach with my music composition is to create a magical and memorable experience for them as they play the game.
The game is still on the making and it will be released soon!

I hope you guys are ok with me uploading some of the side projects I have been doing, I've worked really hard on them and I'm truly happy with how everything has come together.

Here is the final product of what has been so many nights without sleep. I still cannot believe it is done. I must say this is the most challenging song I have ever messed with, but also, I had so MUCH fun doing this. I could finally get to use my new analog synth, I also did a lot of field recording for the sound effects and there is a lot of cool sound design things every now and then. The song ended up being SUPER crazy because this was also a part of me experimenting with a lot of different approaches. I love when I learn so much doing a cover! Every time I cover a Danny B track I seriously learn at least 6 or more new things about music and production. Which is awesome! I might continue on my dannyB spree, I am already working on another one. Super excited!
Hope you all enjoy this thing and get the album, it is a cool cause :D!

Cats! Kittens!! and more CATS!!!
The game is still in development, but you can still play it! Available for Mac OS X and Windows: http://code6226.itch.io/den-mothers (We are still working on it, we'll be uploading updates on this same website)
~ ~ Here's a demo of one of the games I've been working on! It all started this last friday May 29th on a Game Jam at my school and we made it in a span of 48 hours.
The theme of the Game Jam was "Minigames" and we came up with the idea of making a two players game about cats and kittens. Because everyone loves cats.
It is a fun minigame where your main objective is to collect food that will be spawning on the floor and feed your three little kittens three times each. You can also grab your opponent's kittens and drop it any place you want, just to make it harder for your opponent to feed his kittens. The first player to completely feed its kittens wins!
I wanted to make a sort of double tempo Jazz/Blues soundtrack for this game, even though it was challenging for me since it is totally out of my comfort zone. Cats are jazz for me. So I had to make this happen.
As for the SFX, most of the sounds were recorded with my pair of MXL mics (990,991)
I also used an analog synth (Arturia Microbrute) for the menu and success sound.Binding of Isaac - My Innermost Apocalypse (Cover) | AHmusicAHmusic2015-05-30 | ► DOWNLOAD: http://ahlbum.com

Super Meat Boy soundtrack is so aweesome. Damn, I've always wanted to make this cover and I'm so glad that it's finally done! Some of you may already know this, but I've been craaazy busy these months! I'm 4 months in my audio program and I felt that I've acquired like two years of knowledge within this such short span of time! I've been studying and practicing mixing a lot, I've also done a couple of sound design projects and I've even composed the music for two indie games! And there's more games to come for me to work on, it's incredible the amount of opportunities that are in the corner, I'm super excited!!
I saw few weeks ago that Swiggles1987 is doing a level up contest, and I figured this might be a good time for me to finally upload something and hopefully get more feedback on how to improve even more since this is my passion. I wanted to get some practice with sound design and this was the perfect moment for it. All of the synth sounds you hear and also the swoooshes I made them from scratch using Massive and Absynth, it was pretty fun! Hope you guys enjoy my rendition on this song, and see you soon with more covers to come! Believe me there's tons of stuff coming.

You can find the game on my website!
Full Sail's 6th Annual Hall of Fame event hosted a 24-Hour Game Jam. Within this time frame, our team designed and developed 2 different games. I had the pleasure of collaborating with two different teams of more than 20 people, it was amazing!
This is one of the two games we did. Being the only audio guy, I composed six different soundtracks and sound designed around 25 sound effects in such a short span time. I have never experienced that feeling when composing because I've never set myself deadlines or anything, I must say it was truuuly challenging, yet crazy fun. Being the first time doing something as such, it was quite an experience and I met wonderful people along the way!
I will now learn the basics of audio programming on different engines such as Unreal and Unity and hopefully next time I'll be able to incorporate the audio to the game by myself and increase my team's workflow.Storm Eagle goes Black Metal (Megaman X) | AHmusicAHmusic2014-11-07 | Support me on Patreon! patreon.com/AHmusic
So yeah, that happened. It's been quite a while since I last uploaded a megaman song that I decided to dedicate this month to purely Megaman X themes! At first I was working on a Megaman X medley in 6 unusual metal genres and this was one of the tracks! I liked it that much that I wanted to do a full version of it. Behemoth style! I arranged the whole thing then I found this amazing vocalist and he did a flawless job! :D
The medley is not done, yet. And I think my next release will be a collab with 96stones. We'll be doing a MMX theme that's almost ready :)
Also, theres just one week left for me in my homecountry since I'm moving to the US for college so I'm trying to get as many things done as possible!

Believe it or not I've been working on this little theme for two months and you don't have any idea of how many times I rearranged and started all over again and again, haha. I wanted to make some djenty/technical song then it started to sound like a soundtrack so I put some electronic bits then all of the sudden I was arranging a power ballad, weird.
Also I'll be leaving my country soon and I was quite busy getting all of the papers done. I just got my student visa and I'll be studying sound engineering in the USA in one month!! I'm so excited :DD
Thank you all for listening!! seriously!! big greetings from Venezuela

ahrecordings.com First time making a Game Grumps remix and I just couldn't help messing with the awesome intro they made for the game Secret of Mana at their channel! :D
Hallo, it's been so long since I posted my last video :( believe it or not I was all the time working on this theme, well, not really on the sound track but most of the time trying to make an animation, yeah I decided to learn animation!
And as you may see I failed so hard :( I couldn't make the animation I was planning to do, even tho I swallowed like 2390812 tutorials it was so much work for me and I couldn't stand it anymore xD
Maybe in some near future I'll be releasing something animated since I learnt so many stuff that I really want to keep in practice :D Anyways hope you like my drawing of Arin and Danny and how I arranged the theme, and If any of you have any experience animating and you feel like giving me a hand I'd be so glad!
Hey everyone :) Sorry for the long hiatus, it's been 3-4 fridays since I uploaded something. But it's for a reason! I'm working on an original song and I'm really giving my best at it, I'm learning a bunch of mixing a production stuff so yeah :D It's gonna be ready for next friday, maybe!
From Djent to latin music to a melodramatic twist!
Well, I must say this is the most crazy and greatest arrangement I've ever made and I'm truly proud of it. I truly love everything about it, mostly because I pretty much learnt my lesson from my previous cover and took everything easier. I took my time as much as arranging and mixing this piece. The only thing I don't really like -now that I listen to it- is my lead tone, though. Yet nevertheless it was SO fun to work on this.
The only trouble I had (and the main reason I took this long) is that I had to change my DAW. Since Cubase 5 has given me much issues because it's a 32 bits version I had to move to Reaper. First time using it tho, really great and recommended DAW by the way, simple yet so full of features!
What thrilled me the most making this video is the awesome people who helped me out! David Russell is a mindblowing pianist. Haha, when I sent him the arrangement I made he told me "WAIT MAN, I CANNOT DO THIS, IT'S TOO HARD FOR ME!!" then he sent me a video of his first "attempt" just like a couple of minutes after that. And this is first attempt. Yes. He truly blew my mind, it truly turned out to be WAY better than I expected!!
And Billy is an awesome guy as well, he helped me a lot feedbacking me all the time about the mix and I had so much fun arranging some parts of the song with him via Skype, haha. I didn't know he was THAT good at drums o_o I was so impressed when he sent me his videos and also he has some insane skills at bass as well! this guy is epic at many instruments!! D:
Oh, and by the way, since I moved to reaper I'm using a WHOLE new mixing setting, please, I'd love some feedback towards my mix because it's something I take really seriously. :D Also, I stopped using Pod Farm and now I'm using only freewares for my guitar tone!

Here are 5 tips to humanize and make your MIDI drums sound better! Hopefully you didnt know at least one of them so I can feel that I helped you :D As you may notice, this is my very first tutorial. I wanted to make it quick and interactive so I didn't want to add a voice over since I prefer tutorials that are straight to the point.
Maybe sometimes it was a bit rushed and you couldn't get to understand something, if so, please comment your doubt! I'll answer you in less than 5 seconds, I promise!!
Tell me if you like this kind of tutorial style, would you like me to voice-over? would you like me to remove the textboxs? let me know!

On the other hand, I'm kinda guitarless at the moment... that's why I haven't uploaded almost anything lately. The song I'm working on at the moment is ready but I just need to record the rhythm tracks! But I can tell you that's gonna worth the wait, it's an amazing super collab with 3 more musicians :D
The zelda songs I used were some midi arrangements I did on Cubase in my meantime a real while ago, they are truuuuly sloppy but I didn't know what else to put :P

About the #MultiplayerVGAlbum: So I'm truly glad to announce that I'll be contributing to this fundraiser campaign. And this video of mine is a contribution to the cause. My friend Swiggles1987 and a bunch of other great musicians has started off this amazing idea of making a video game musical album consisting of 26 tracks of music--one song from one different game for each artist. And it's all released to raise money for Child's-Play Charity (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/).

I still cannot believe I finally got this song done. if you have kept track of me on FB or anything you must know the bunch of shit I went thru with this cover, I just had the most stressing recording and filming experience that I ever lived. Seriously. I expected this cover to be ready for last friday... Little did I know that Id end up re-recording and re-filming over 40 times. At first, I recorded every video in front of a green curtain that I have, (I was thinking of making all the video with chroma key) but fuck as much as I tried it looked so shitty so I got rid of that, but I left a few clips on there. But it was all my fault at the beginning tho, I was so rushed and I came up with a really sloppy version that I wasnt satisfied with.
Then the choirs... the choirs. I think Idve got this song ready for last friday if it wasnt for the choirs software. This is the thing that took most of my time. I thought it was gonna be real easy as they say but no. Shit took me the rest of the days... Firstly because of each modulation of the vowels, since it's an "english" choir I couldnt find any other way to make sounds like "ro" without sounding "raur". Thus it says "memoruia" "SEPHIROU" e_é... and I'm sorry in advance if you don't really like the choirs, I can get you a mp3 w/o the choir just feel free to ask! But I TRULY tried my best to make it sound as natural and realistic as possible.
Then when I thought it couldnt be worst, fucking Sony Vegas crashed, I got some troubleshooting problems I tried every solution, nothing worked, didnt have time to look up for more and started all over again (for the 3rd time) then when I finally got everything done (FINALLY) ...GUESS FUCKING WHAT... SONY VEGAS WAS BLACKSCREENING THE SHIT OUTTA MY RENDERINGS. Everytime I rendered the video there were random parts where it went pitched black for no reason. So I just rendered like 6 different videos then gather all of them and just like a puzzle I put each clip with no black screens on it.
All the rant aside. it was the most enthralling experience... Now that I got it done I've got this mixed feeling. Soooo much love for this song now it's time to let go... and it's here for you guys :) time to share what I must say one of the best things I've ever done! I just had to, this song means so much to me.
As always, hope you all enjoy this version of mine! it sure took me a shitload of time and effort but it truly worth it.
