I created a tool for Arduino IDE that saves Arduino serial output into a CSV file. You can then open the saved file with Microsoft Excel or Libre Office. It works on all platforms where Arduino IDE runs (Windows, Mac, Linux).

The legend of the story is that you have been hexed by a witch and you have one hour until the voodoo doll falls onto the spikes. To win the game you need to save the doll before your time runs out.
The device is controlled by the ESP8266 microcontroller. It can drop the doll by turning five servo-motors. I have also added RGB LEDs to change the lighting inside the box and there are two feedback signals to detect if the cupboard door is open and if the doll was removed manually.

I forgot to mention some critical details about mounting the 50kg bathroom scale load cells to a wooden board. It is important that the strain gauge has room to move up and down. The easiest way to achieve this is to 3D print a mounting frame for it. Alternatively, you could also drill a hole to your weight plate.

UPDATE:
You should also add a 100-ohm resistor between the Arduino pin and the Gate terminal of the MOSFET. The MOSFET has a small capacitance that starts to charge/discharge when you switch the Arduino pin. This creates a short current spike that can be bad for the Arduino pin. Especially if you plan to do high-frequency switching.

I have always had issues when I needed to print something with a large first layer area. It's probably due to the math of how delta printers work that causes sectors near towers appear higher (even though the glass bed is perfectly flat).
I discovered that the issue can totally be resolved with Bed Leveling settings in MatterControl.
But recently I learned that "Paint Format" also applies to lists and sequences in Google Docs and Microsoft Word. It even works perfectly with sub-lists.

I have updated the code from using the outdated "rxtx" library to "jSerialComm". You can skip the
"-Djava.library.path" in the VM options.
You can find full updated instructions of how to set-up the Java project at the Github page: github.com/indrekluuk/ArduinoImageCapture
------------------------------------------------------
This is a follow-up to the "Arduino OV7670 live image to screen" video. In this tutorial, I am connecting only a camera to Arduino (no screen) and sending images to a computer over the serial connection.
The image can be transferred with up to 2Mbit/sec baud rate. Although that speed is not very stable and I have set 1Mbit/sec as default.
Interestingly though the 1Mbit/sec only works with Arduino clones. With Genuine Arduino Uno you have to lower the baud rate since 1Mbit/sec is always very glitchy. I think that for some reason Chinese ch340 serial chip handles high speeds better than FTDI chip used in the original Arduino.

Back in 2001/2002 when I was in high school I designed my own very primitive 3D engine. Originally I started doing it in Turbo Pascal, but since it had only 64k ram available then I moved it over to Free Pascal.
I had to do some bugfixes to get it working in 2018.
