The forgotten. I’ve been so afraid to make content on what I actually care about because I know not many people care at all and will even get angry at me for caring. But I’m doing it anyways. I am not sorry for making you uncomfortable, I’m sorry for their discomfort. I am not sorry for putting you off your food, I am sorry they have to endure this to become food. I am not sorry for making you feel defensive, I am sorry that they are defenseless against this system. This isn’t the circle of life, this is about making the 1% more rich, at the detriment of our planet, our health and the lives of individuals. You can search far and wide for a way to justify this to yourself, but what you’ll inevitably realize is there isn’t one, it’s just habit, tradition, and self gratification. You can change habits. You can change tradition. You cannot use pleasure as a way to justify harming someone else, or paying a business to harm someone for you... imagine if a rapist used that in court? They wouldn’t stand a chance. But when it comes to supporting industries that rape, mutilate, torture and kill animals, most people are fine with using “but they taste good” as a justification. People taste good to cannibals. Does that make it okay? Dogs taste good to people in China, is that also just fine? It’s time to think for yourself. Children, before any indoctrination, feel connected with animals. They are in awe of them. They don’t want them to feel pain, regardless of species. Then we teach them that some animals are meant to be hurt, that it’s their purpose. We teach them to be sad when a person kills a lion or dog but not to care at all when it’s a pig or cow. We don’t instinctually enjoy animal cruelty, we’re taught as children to look away if it makes you feel sad and angry. What a privilege we have to be able to dismiss their suffering. I did for a majority of my life, until I realized I am one of them. We are all animals. You don’t have to love animals to become vegan, you just have to acknowledge their sentience and their ability to suffer. That’s it. That’s basic science. That should be enough. And I know it’s hard, it’s designed to be hard. These industries are powerful and want you addicted to their products. They don’t want you to take control of your health, give a shit about the planet, or see the victims and how they’re mercilessly killed. They would lose your money. But I can tell you- I haven’t missed a single thing since giving up animal products. My entire life improved. It’s the best choice I ever made for myself. I eat food so delicious it makes people question if it’s really vegan or not! And it’s available now! So, next time you’re in the supermarket, remember their eyes. Remember the individuals that now lay frozen on the shelves and what they went through. There’s not a single animal product that wasn’t a product of suffering. Remember the forgotten ones.RIP babies. This is my MOST requested video which is amazing because it shows how many of you are taking your health more seriously and trying to be more conscious consumers, which is something to be PROUD of!!
