Momentary Peace / A Wish | Ambient Tape Loop Remix (Paladin’s Quest & Secret of Mana) glimlicht 2026-08-29 | This one starts with a single tape loop from the beautiful track "Momentary Peace" from Paladin's Quest. It cascades into multiple analogue delays and morphs into the haunting "A Wish..." from Secret of Mana. So its basically a 26-minute track that consists of two tape loops. Mario Paint – BGM 3 | Ambient Tape Loop Remix glimlicht 2026-08-29 | Mario Paints mysterious track "BGM 3" is in my opinion one of the coolest tracks that the SNES ever produced. For this mix I used the audio from another remix made by @jkallen11, put it on tape and rearranged the whole thing. Links Remanence - Another Zelda fan-album made with ambient tape loops glimlicht 2026-07-09 | This was a lot of fun to make! I recorded the OST from Link's Awakening (both Game Boy and Switch) on a tape reel and started making tape loops from it. The loops that resonated with me were saved in jars with ideas written on them. Every jar filled with tape loops got made into a song, I mixed them with analogue equipment and added effects, both physically on the tape and with guitar pedals.I always play through the games while doing a project like this and that effects the decision for which songs to keep on the album. Also, I like to translate my experience of playing the game through sound. Link's Awakening is a very psychedelic and melancholic game and apparently it took inspiration from Twin Peaks, which is one of my favorite things ever.On the other side of the tape reel I recorded the Twin Peaks OST and while doing this project I also made some songs for that. Tossing and Turning - Ambient Tape Loop Remix from Links Awakening glimlicht 2026-06-13 | The first few tracks from my Links Awakening tape loop project are recorded. This one is a taste of what is on the horizon. The sound is quite fun to work with, its way more chiptune-like then Oxides of Time. It all starts to feel more psychedelic and I think that fits the theme of the game very well. I am combining the original GameBoy OST with the Switch OST. The physical loops are scattered everywhere but it starts to make sense. Especially the dungeon themes are so beautiful while they are falling apart, stay tuned for more!The artwork in this video is a collage of the same two screenshots across GameBoy versions of the game. From those pieces I made tapeloops which I manipulated (both physically and through guitar pedals) and mixed into tracks.
