Geils band) and me many years ago.We were doing an outdoor show in Georgia (Athens?) in the late 70s and I suggested that we put my boombox cassette player next to him on the mixing board and see what a tape made of the band's set sounded like after the show, becasue the record feature on the boombox had level adjustments.Both Frank and I were amazed at how good the mix on the tape was (a testament to Frank's mixing skills). I was also amazed that the version of House Party on this tape was one of the most high-energy versions of it Geils ever played.I cleaned up the original tape as best I could and here it is. PS: There is a picture of the boombox that recorded this tape at the end of the video. I think it was an AIWA, but I'm not sure since it's been gone for years.Strap in, put on a helmet, and enjoy the ride.

He moved to Philadelphia and recorded three singles for Atlantic Records, none of which charted. In Philadelphia he formed the group Cliff Nobles & Co., with bassist Benny Williams, guitarist Bobby Tucker, and drummer Robert Marshall. They were signed to Phil-L.A. of Soul Records.Their second release for the record label was the single "Love Is All Right"/ "The Horse", which featured the horn section from what would later be known as MFSB. It has a hydraulic shaft that is operated by a lever mounted under the seat. It can be adjusted to many different height levels in seconds and is very sturdy. I find traditional drum stools never go high enough for me and since I have a lot of drums, every time I rearrange them I find myself monkeying with the seat adjustment. This stool works great for me. Now, I'll have to see if it stands up to heavy use.

The original music track was recorded on a Fostex 4-track cassette deck also in my living room (which I engineered), using a Radio Shack 6-channel mixer (model 32-1210) and an odd assortment of microphones. The final version of the video was edited in a local public access facility and the audio track was enhanced at QCA recording studios in Cincinnati. The final product was broadcast on December 30, 1985 on the public access program "Blue Monday" which ran from 1984 to 1987 on public access TV in Cincinnati.

The video was in response to store mangers' complaints that existing training videos weren't based on real-life situations I called the series, "Domino's Pizza : Customer Cam" The idea being that the videos would show how things are done the correct way and how they are done the wrong way in actual stores.I visited about 30 stores and just watched how they ran. In my video, I acted out each scene as I had seen things done correctly and how I had seen things done incorrectly.My idea was not to label the right ways and the wrong ways, but rather to let store personnel comment to each other as they watched the video.This tape is the demo for the series. After watching it, Domino's Pizza's upper management, at the time, respectfully rejected the idea on the grounds that it was "Too real".The off-camera voice on the video is former Domino's Pizza regional training director Phil Dreizen
