Dragon Breaker
Seriously, this guy is broken. Like Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 tier broken. He's not as "toolboxy" as Dante but playing him feels like playing the game with a giant hammer to smack things with.
I'm gonna try go for an under 1 hour run with him. Sorry for spamming JCE so much, but I wanted to see how quickly I could get through this run.
But yeah, Vergil's BORKEND, but you knew that.

To do this bug, taunt and then charge up for your Judgement Cut. During the Taunt animation, switch to Beowulf, then release the Judgement Cut. As the Judgement Cut executes, switch back to Yamato.
If you do it correctly, Vergil will still have Beowulf displayed on his model but you will be able to do Yamato attacks. This effect lasts until you exit the room or you switch to Beowulf and do an attack.
You can even switch to Force Edge and you'll keep the Beowulf model while doing Force Edge attacks. You can weapon switch past Beowulf in the middle of your other attack strings if you want to keep this glitch.

Despite how it looks, this was Dante Must Die Mode. -- Watch live at http://www.twitch.tv/keirnoth
So, a friend and I have found out that Trish can actually infinitely keep herself up in the air if you do it properly. This can be used to skip certain parts of missions or to actually "climb" your way up.
Here is an example of it in action, skipping Mission 12 just like Dante can. Basically do two Air Hikes with DT on, turn it off, then do her air lightning Lunar Phase (hold R1, forward + Triangle), then interrupt the last few frames of the final kick with one shot of her gun attack (Square). Continue and keep looping it. If you do this correctly you can even GAIN HEIGHT with it.
I'm sure you guys can find other ways to use this. Perhaps for that mission where you have to cross the laser fence? You can probably use this to float over it.
Also see me NO DAMAGE Dante at the end of the run! Got that achievement because DT Pandora bodies that fool for free. Plus Round Harvest + guns = he automatically gets hit by everything.
Trish is kinda like Dante lite with a small bit of Nero mixed in. She has ridiculous crowd control with her round harvest and pretty much decimates groups of enemies.
She has the gun switch gimmick from DMC3 that allows her to fire quick bursts of Pandora shots within a short amount of time. She also can "Just Frame" her hand to hand attacks, allowing her to do even more damage.
What she has problems with however, is Berial (basically keeping him in one place) and Blitzes. She simply does not output the spike damage fast enough to get them before they go berserk, so her strategy is to ACTUALLY let them go berserk and hit them with Pandora laser.
She gains 1 full DT orb every time she hits point blank with the Pandora triple missile (hold R1, back, hold Square) and can chain the missile into itself since it requires her gun input. When un-DT'd, her guns fire faster than Dante's and actually packs more stun and damage (but not as good as Dante's charged level 3 shots). This makes her able to take down Faust and Mephisto cloaks without having to resort to DTing.
Her ground melee attacks are somewhat slow with Sparda and they're all clones of Dante's Rebellion attacks. However, she can pretty much do jump cancel combos similar to Dante on the ground and in the air with it. Her hold R1, bk + circle attack brings enemies together to you, kinda like a really powerful Snatch which is the perfect setup for round harvest.
Her air triangle attack is Inazuma, which leaves a trail of lightning behind that lets you do some nutty juggle combos. It's crazy fast - comes out as quickly as Killer Bee in DMC3 and is EXCELLENT for transportation from point A to B.
Her lightning Lunar Phase (in the air or on the ground, hold R1, forward + Triangle) is really fast, does lots of hits, and is very easy to jump cancel off of. Plus, she doesn't go straight down after she does it, so you can spam it in the air if you jump and do it.
In DT, she gains Dante's super armor AND his triple jump with double air hike. Her attacks come out faster, and more importantly, her guns get REALLY good. They do insane stun and easily takes down cloaks and Blitz shields. She attacks faster, and most importantly, every single hit of hers gains lightning. This lightning converts your normal hits into hits that are similar to gun damage, which allows you to easily decloak Fausts and Mephistos using stuff like her lightning Lunar Phase, which does a LOT of hits.
Overall she's a fun character. She's certainly not as powerful as Dante is or Vergil for that matter, but her basics are solid and of the three characters, she actually has the best escape options and "oshit" buttons (DT, double air hike into Inazume to get away from stuff).
Keep Level 3 shotgun charged at all times. It murders bosses and anything that is big. Kalina Ann should only be used for combo fillers and to use its level 2 or 3 shot to devastate huge crowds.
Also, swap DT (the grenade throwing move) with gun so DT is Square and Gun is L1. This will let you charge it up while attacking.
Use her DT as a panic button or try to build it up to full meter. At full meter it's basically like Dante and Vergil's Devil Trigger Explosion from Devil May Cry 3.
I'm playing with a hack that removes the Depth of Field effect and Motion Blur. The blur is very poorly done and they don't allow you to disable it in the ingame options.
Don't mind the resolution and music - he's a bit new to video game capturing and he doesn't play in at least 720p.
All I know is this bug has something to do with the way momentum works in DMC4, but it's also looks like it ONLY can be done by the computer.

Edit: I was playing this to stream to a friend who likes cuhrayzee games but wasn't aware of how bad DmC is. She already knew DMC1/3/4 were superior, but I wanted to show her how many problems this game had.
I'll make like an FGC player and blame it on the controller. Kappa
Also, if you've seen me around in the comments section and Twitter, you will know I've been blowing shit up when it comes to GamerGate. Reddit did some really stupid shit the past few days and there's a pretty big revolt going on. Massive keks to be had.
Twitter: http://twitter.com/Keirnoth
Edit: I noticed that whenever I try to record in 60 FPS, there's these really long occasional pauses (as you see in this playthrough). Anyone have any idea why this happens? Is it because the drive simply can't keep up with the recording (since I'm recording twice as many frames) or is there something I can do to prevent this?
Merry Christmas you gits.
It's only fitting to do another Nero playthrough in honor (honour?) of I NEED MORE POWER coming back in Devil May Cry 4 SE.
Can't let Vergil's son go to waste, eh?
I pray it gets a PC version, if not I do have a PS4 so I'll be fucking around with him once it comes out.
GET FUCKIN' HYPE NI99AS.
If the 60 FPS option is unavailable for you, you may want to wait a little bit for it to come up - Youtube doesn't put up the 60 FPS option immediately after it comes up in your feed.
I'm also using a slightly higher bitrate, so here's hoping it doesn't look as smudgy at 360p.
I am VERY rusty with nero, so give me a break that I get hit by stupid shit. Also was trying a PS2 controller I bought, but the buttons feel mushy as fuck.
Check out the ending fight vs Dante though. Was laughing my ass off when it happened!
Can't play DMC4 as often because my wrists hurt after playing - gotta love getting old. Dunno if I'm just holding the controller wrong or if it's because of how shitty the triggers are on the PS3 controller. Shitty triggers make it easy to drop weapon switch combos. I'll have to replace the PS2 controller since the buttons got mushy and unresponsive.
Could also be because I messed up the crap out of my wrist playing the fuck out of One Finger Death Punch a couple months ago. That game is so much fun!

This was supposed to be one of my side projects in the future, but since I haven't been uploading any content for awhile, I decided to take this out of the backburner and make it a mainline thing. I still have the audio recorded for the DmC review, but I seriously need to find a non-linear editor for it.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good FREE non-linear editing software that also lets me encode in H264 format? Preferably open source if possible. I just want to be able to import a bunch of clips together and do simple transitions like fade-ins/fade outs, kinda like the way Windows Movie Maker works.
This was my entry. It's not the best, but after doing a billion retakes on it this was the one I decided to submit.

WELL GUESS WHAT, in DmC, because the style rank doesn't go down, and because you have access to 1 crazy combo (Trillion Stab), and because NT/Capcom forgot to add that little "1 point per hit when the enemy is at 1 hp" mechanic to the game, you can FARM FOR STYLE POINTS after getting SSS rank by cancelling out of the Trillion Stab, waiting a small bit of time, and repeating ad nauseum!
In other words, if you're patient enough, you can easily break leaderboards by doing the same thing over and over again!
And yes, both of these things happened on the SAME RUN.
DMD Mission 1 starts at around 03:24:00 (that's 3 hours, 24 mins).

Or something.
This game? I'm just mashing on Square/Gun then alternating between hitting L1 and letting go of L1 with the (get this name) KABLOOEY gun.
MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF NERDRAEGING!1one
My gameplay in this level was kinda iffy, mainly because it's really hard to do good efficient crowd control with Nero. Nero can clear out huge mobs of enemies, but the moves that do that leave him wide open. So I got hit. A LOT. I did a LOT of takes of this too because I wasn't satisfied with my gameplay, but I just said fuck it and decided to make this my final take.
Next, you may have noticed the length. This is because I purposefully rig the dice game to roll on the red spots. I wanted to show you guys the LDK spawns for this level. Would be pointless not to.

...Yeah, I know that was lame, anyway, this boss is no different in LDK mode. In fact, he takes Devil Hunter amounts of damage. Expect the same with Mission 20.
Because Dante is so fucking awesome, I decided to keep the cutscenes in the game.

You can practice this too by enabling "No Damage" in the Debug Menu. Even though you get hit, since you take no damage, you don't auto-fail the secret mission.
I was basically trying to "style" my way through the area with the dash cancel trick and - er - this happened.

The Hunter class is the reason why I will be playing this game full time. It's basically a somewhat stripped down version of a Devil May Cry playstyle online. The Photon Art system has been vastly improved, and pretty much every attack is cancellable into every action. The melee gameplay is absolutely fucking solid; this is exactly what I wanted in an action RPG "MMO".
In this video I review the Hunter class with commentary by me about how things go. I strongly suggest taking a look at my Ranger videos for more information. I also strongly suggest playing this Hunter class with game controller. Melee feels extremely fluid .
I also will show you the Urban Recovery level, which was featured in the PSO2 Character Creator benchmark. At the end of the level I will also show my party of randoms fighting Dark Ragne, a giant angry mech-spider-thing.

TL;DR, if you plan on playing Ranger, KB + Mouse is a very viable combo. The UI can be navigated with such a setup. This is something a lot of multiplatform PC/console games/games that have both M+KB and gamepad in mind have trouble with. I think PSO2 has figured it out.
Funny how a smaller company could figure this out, but a team with tons of money and talent backing it can't (Square-Enix and FFXIV).

You can adjust all sorts of aspects about your character: the length of their arms, the hair color, hair style (MANY to choose from), whether they're toned or muscular, height, body weight, and most importantly for the ronery otaku out there: the female's boob size.
This Part briefly covers the Cast Male, as they work a little differently from the "fleshie" races. You actually lose a lot of customization options, but fans of Gundam/mecha anime will be right at home with the Cast Male.

Where have I been the past two weeks? Playing IMO one of potentially the best action-MMOs out there. In this series I am going to introduce you to various gameplay mechanics. First of which being what I think is the BEST character customization/creator out there. Phantasy Star Universe already had a fairly in-depth character creator, but Phantasy Star Online 2's creator takes the cake.

In this video I will go over how the customization works for the "fleshie" races, e.g. human and newman. A lot of these customization options apply to female casts (except for their parts), so that's why I didn't record footage for them.
Part 2, I will briefly cover Cast Males, as they customize differently from the other race/gender combos.

I'm also doing a small obvious social experiment. I was "blessed" with one of the three thumbnails showing off the boobs of the sample character I'm working on. I want to see if this will attract views if I do this. :P

These three modes are not to be ignored just because I talked about the other two modes first. These modes are still very important to your repertoire of moves and is yet another reason why Dante in DMC4 is the reason why DMC4 is still a great game. A complete package of moves and attacks you can use.
You can download the Debug Mode patch here:
http://s1.zetaboards.com/InfernalWorks/topic/3739265/1
Here's one; this time, it's the Vol Dragon. Compared to the old dragons though, this guy is NOT a pushover. He hits hard, has a lot of two-three hit kill kinds of attacks, moves around a LOT, burrows then pops out of random places, flies, etc
This boss fight is a lot harder than the Rock Bear fight. Seems to be a ranged character (RA or FO) friendly fight. The Vol Dragon is a boss fight in the Caves area (the second area that was accessible during the Alpha 2).
We had more Photon Arts (special moves) and a wider array of weapons to use (though the Sword is probably the most effective).
Hope you enjoy!
