Check out this double dyed stabilized maple burl knife handle material. This piece is actually triple dyed and stabilized with the cactus juice. This is a tutorial on the characteristics of double dyed and stabilized wood with some woodworking tips. I use cactus juice to stabilize my blanks with and sometimes I play around with adding in dye to make the figure pop a little more! I had previously made a san mai blade that had some slight de-laminations in it so I could not sell it. I decided to keep it for myself to use while we are camping and hiking!
