Thanks to Insta360 for supporting the Flight Chops channel!
(and being patient for literal months while I flight tested the cameras to confirm I was impressed enough with the build and image quality to then take steps for the engineering and modifications of the plane for the exterior mount)

This episode, which is a teaser for some of the awesome things I’ve been able to capture over a record breaking few months of flying.
I’ve never exceeded 100 Hours in less than 6 months before, but that’s how this season went.
There have been a pile of really great #IFR cross countries, as well as some excellent 4 ship formation flying with the Canadian Aviation Museum crew, and of course lots of aerobatics as I trained for, and then participated in two contests, managing a personal best score in each!

Please do let me know which of the three episodes I tease in this one that I should expand and focus on for an episode which I’ll publish in November.

Huge thanks to the team at Patriot Aircraft for fitting me into many on going projects to help make the awesome combo camera mount / aerobatic sighting gauge happen!
Hopefully some time soon we'll be running an IAC Aerobatic contest at their base!

AND we're doing a giveaway for a FlightFlix Surface mount (which is awesome for many different applications, just maybe not for also mounting a sighting gauge and then exposing to 6Gs and 185+ knots :)

*To be entered to win, simply make a comment and add the phrase:
"I'd like some FlightFlix gear to safely mount a camera on my plane!"
I'll select randomly from the comments on this and the next related episode in November.*

FLIGHT CHOPS DISCLAIMER:

I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 20 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
