Project Introduction
Dragon-Inspired Craft Sculpture
This project is a dragon-shaped intelligent sculptural craft centered on the traditional Chinese dragon totem.
Fabricated through laser processing and embedded with AI voice interaction, the work integrates visual aesthetics, practical functionality, and emotional companionship, presenting a culturally inspired smart home object that connects tradition with modern technology.

Design Concept
The concept originates from observations of the growing DIY culture and the increasing integration of laser technology into everyday life.
Guided by the idea that “culture has warmth and technology has emotion,” the project brings laser fabrication beyond industrial use. By incorporating AI interaction, it gives traditional cultural symbols a new sense of vitality, making them suitable for modern living spaces and emotional needs.

Manufacturing and Process
The main structure was produced using laser cutting and laser marking, followed by bending processes and mechanical assembly.
Due to the use of thin steel sheets, welding was replaced with bending and screw fastening to ensure structural stability.
Throughout development, the team addressed mechanical, material, and AI integration challenges through iterative testing, supplier coordination, and repeated debugging. Team communication and collaborative problem-solving played a key role in completing the final prototype.

Key materials include 2 mm steel sheets, LED light strips, a Doubao Seed 1.6 AI module, electrical wiring, screws, and a mist-generation module.
Fabrication equipment included CutAir laser cutting, MarkAir laser marking, as well as bending machines, angle grinders, and 3D printers.
