This video shows me playing through the 1st level of 3rd episode in Doom v1.1 (the first full release of the game) on all of the game's difficulties. This version was released on 16th december 1993.
I did this to showcase just how different playing this specific level is on different difficulties.
On "I'm Too Young To Die" you're gonna breeze through the level and end up with maxed-out bullets and shells.
On "Hey Not Too Rough" you have the same enemies, but you get half the ammo and take more damage compared to ITYTD - you'll still easily take a stroll through it, but you won't max out your ammo by the end.
On "Hurt Me Plenty" you get few more enemies and 1 Cacodemon at the start, providing some challenge but remaining manageable, as you have more than enough ammo to deal with all enemies.
On "Ultra Violence" you have to force monsters to fight eachother and not miss any shots, otherwise you'll end up having to fist-fight some of the demons like I did in order to get through it alive (I had to punch-out 2 Pinkies and still had only 3 bullets after I eliminated all of the Imps near the exit).
There was no Nightmare difficulty in this version of the game.
This version of the game has some graphical differences in e3m1 compared to later versions, but they all play the same.
