I've been mentioning this project via hints here and there over the last six months, but behold! It's here, public, and ready to download/play! This is "The Ultimate DOOM" and "DOOM II" converted to the Sega 32X/CD. Created by the original 32X Resurrection guys, taking advantage of various aspects of each piece of hardware, we now have a version of DOOM that much more closely resembles its original PC counterpart. There's also the addition of all missing DOOM levels (Episode 3), existing levels being expanded to match the PC original versions, Episode 4 (Thy Flesh Consumed) being added in, along with.. nearly all of DOOM II itself! Extra bonuses are included, such as all new FM music, a sound test via file browser on start up, and even a few maps converted from Team TNT's "TNT Evilution" map set, originally available in Final DOOM. For those curious, I am playing this from a real Sega Genesis (Model 2) setup, connected to a Sega 32X and a Model 1 Sega CD. It requires both access to the ROM via a flash cartridge, along with a burned disc for the CD functionality (such as expanded texture storage or SPCM music support).
