Welcome to my 696th solo guitar arrangement video on YouTube, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John and KiKi Dee.
This is a bit of a throw-away arrangement by no fault of the song itself, which is great. A few weeks ago a played a wedding ceremony and this was one of the requested songs so I quickly put an arrangement to it while listening to the original, and that is what you are hearing and seeing here. The song was not otherwise on my to-do list although it certainly qualifies. If it was on my list, I'd have taken the time to really think things through and the first thing I would have done would have been to lower the key by half step to E. It would have been a lot easier to play (the F bar chord is killing me) and more importantly, I would have gotten some sweet open string sounds.
