11 reasons not to buy #CarlinKit TBox AR.all-in-one dashcam, android box, and wireless CarPlay/AndroidAuto adapter. I've been testing this product for couple months and I can honestly say that this is device is faulty by design. It does not function well as any an Android Box, #dashcam, nor the wireless adapter. It has problems with image quality, recording stability, system performance, boot up time, there's no parking mode, saving videos is difficult, there's no support for cars without touch screen.

✌️ Instead I do recommend getting CarlinKit 4.0 wireless adapter AND a separate stand-alone dashcam.

all-in-one device for clean installation
Easy installation - single wire for power and comm
a lot of features (wireless CP/AA, video player in motion, internet connection, Google Play Store)

👎 CONS of CarlinKit TBox AR
Boot up speed is too high - skips short trips!
Video freezes for couple seconds
low bitrate = artifacts and glitches, noise in low-light conditions
Marking emergency footage is difficult and takes too long
No parking mode - no power when parked
Requires additional memory card - does not store footage to internal memory
Can't use system UI if car not equipped with touch display
android-related stability issues - mostly CarPlay related
using internal mic for Siri - low quality HFP instead of A2DP
ports on top - can't install as high as want/need
port icons not visible from inside
one-time use sticker mount - can't reposition/switch vehicles
