A lattice is an infinite surface cutting infinite space in 2 infinite parts. When the object is made an infinite surface using infinite dodecagons, then all edges are connected to another dodecagon, also no pair of bordering edges connects to the same dodecagon and each dodecagon can replaced any other by moving and rotating the entire infinite shape. In this sense it relates to the family of Platonic solids when allowing non-regular polygons. There are 2 types of corners, in one type 3 dodecagons within the same unit come together, in the other type 2 dodecagons from the same unit and 1 from a neighboring unit come together.
