Like many characters in Game of Thrones and the world of ice and fire, House Targaryen are quite fixated on their connections to their sigil. Understandably so, given that their empire in Westeros was built on the backs of dragons. It's not uncommon to hear any Targaryen exalt their so-called "blood of the dragon," but when they claim to be the blood of the dragon, are they being even more literal than they realize? Did they somehow fuse their human bloodline with that of dragons?
